How to paint storm clouds. Watercolor demonstration
Materials used:
Bockingford 200lb Cold Pressed
Pro Arte, Ron Ranson Hake (Medium), Sable Round, Rigger
Winsor & Newton and Daniel Smith watercolour paints.
Created using a mixture of wet in wet and dry brush techniques.

The painting looks great. Do you use Bockingford for all your paintings? Do you prefer it to cotton or use it because it's less expensive? I've never used it before but have wanted to try it.

Thanks!! I use several types if paper, they all give different results. I really like Saunders Waterford. Arches and Millford are also great. Bockingford is the best wood pulp paper I’ve tried. St Cuthberts Mill make a 200lb version, which I used for this painting.
