For the gem sections on the armour, I decided to do alternating red and blue. Made it even more tedious.

Sounds great, I guess a purple one like on the Slayer would be cool too! At that stage painting, I just wanted to finish the model ^^ I still try to figure out how complex a tutorial should be, too many paints? Not enough? Which techniques? Everything needs to be painted, recorded and edited in one week, which limits my possibilites extremely. But anyways, thank you for watching and your comment!

I love it! The Tomb Kings have a surprising amount of little details for "just a bunch of skeletons" even on the old metal model. I used to have some metal stone trolls and a goblin shaman for my Greenskin army many years ago, I wish I still had them. I wonder if adding a tiny dot of white on the opposite side of the gemstone pieces might make them pop a little better and look even more realistic? I think you have a good balance of painting time and pacing for the whole process. In my opinion a good balance is to show painting footage of the step you are on for as long as it takes you to explain it and then leave a couple of beats for the viewer to digest what was said before moving on to the next (I hope that makes sense?). Ultimately I don't think you can ever totally please everyone, some people probably like to see the whole process condensed into less than 10 minutes while others are going to be more than happy to watch every brush stroke.

Thanks @Beas1987 I'm really looking forward to any comment of yours! Do you still remember what kind of goblin shaman you had back then? I can think of two different miniatures, one with a big hat, a staff twize his size and a moon sickle. The other one had a sword and a big stuff pointing both upwards, but with no hat and a braid instead. The feedback with the tiny dot's is on point, definitly add those the next week. Good idea! You also described very good the problem I have while editing, sometimes I get the feeling of showing to much, but on the other hand, I want to give as much information as possible. I don't want you to watch a scene and have a feeling like "when did that happen?". So again, Thank you very much for taking the time and write such a detailed feedback, it's very important to me!

@@MiniQuest64 You're very welcome as always, hope to see your channel continue to grow :) Just did some googling and I was mistaken, it was an Orc not a Goblin. It was the Nazgob, Orc Shamn model from 1997. The trolls would also have been from about the same time. Funny enough I just found an ebay listing for a troll that completed for £45, man now do I really wish I still had them!

I hope so too, never thought that this would be so timeconsuming ^^ Oh boy I know that model, that was pretty great, he got a cape and a two handed staff. The trolls though, especially the old ones, they are pretty expensive this time. I painted a box of the new ones for AoS and they have some great sculpts, but the old ones are so goofy, love em!

@@MiniQuest64 Just went up into my attic to check and found my old box! Unfortunately those specific miniatures aren't there. A shame because I think they are the best paint jobs 14 year old me did.

Looks like shit is a pretty big stretch. Looks not as tryhard while being 90% as good is more accurate!
