I don't usually leave comments and this is a fairly old video but i just had to with this. I spent so much time browsing for a tutorial on an easy enough design and i came across this. I'm a beginner and this seemed impossible to do but i watched it the whole way through and it seemed somewhat achievable.. half way through i looked at my own painting and couldn't believe i had done that... thank you so much for the thorough detail and easy to follow instructions. If I can do it, so can anyone else!! super pleased and so was my dad :) Thank you so much, keep up the good work!!

I love love love how you tell us everything you're doing and how you make decisions to lighten or darken. Especially when you tell us what you're doing with the brushes with every move. There are good instructors on youtube that, unfortunately, don't say they dried off the brush or put more pigment in the water, or cleared the brush off between steps. Thank you so much.

I wish I came across your video before I did my water lilly painting (just yesterday) :)) I'm kinda happy with the result overall but I had a hard time to create the soft stripe texture on its petals. I end up using a small round brush to make those, and of course that leaves a lot of hard edges :( By the way, I think it'd be more lively if you make the water with blue and green mixture ;)
