HOW TO PAINT A WAVE / Acrylic Painting Tutorial / step by step

Hi guys, thanks for joining me today for this painting tutorial. This is a step by step painting of how to paint a wave on a grey moody background. You’ll need the following colours and brushes:
Titanium white black
Light ultramarine blue
Turquoise
Yellow ochre
#1 Liner brush
#50 filbert/ blending brush for the grey background
#30 filbert
A few sizes of mop/stipple brushes
16x20” canvas primed with white gesso

Hey Joni, happy easter! This is beautifil, very realistic. At home, I used to love watching the waves. Sometimes, they were huge, very rough, angry, cold and powerful. Other times, they were smaller, out in the heads, they were more blues, crashing over rocks, swirling around them. So beautiful and interesting to watch and smell. Inside the heads, it was calmer, warmer, the waves not so huge, but there we had more the turqoisey and blues colour. I miss our beaches greatly. You brought back memories painting this. I had taken too much for granted. You have a way of making things look easy, explaining it all so well, tempting one to try it. The little touches you add, make everything come so alive. I love your style of painting, your colours - it all resonates with me. I have this barrier, that wont let me start to paint - I know, when I break through, there is no stopping me, I have so much I would like to try. Your easy manner is helping me immensly, I am so close! This passion to paint is burning inside me, your guidance and easy going quiet and gental mannor is coaching me to gather confidemce and just start.I am so thankful for you and your beautiful energies. I've got to say you definitely have the easiest way of making a wave then most artist I have seen and it looks so realistic...Hope to see you making more ocean scenes with big waves. Hey , me again, I have a real request. I know you have painted and taught several,several videos on WATER AND WAVES. IM WONDERING NEXT TIME YOU ARE PAINTING WAVES, COULD YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN TO US, WHY THE COLORS,OR THE COLORS THAT ARE MOST ALWAYS ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE WAVE AND THE UPPER PART. WHY ARE TGEY THEDIFFERENT COLORS OR LETS SAY THE "SHADE OF COLOR? I REALLY DONT KNOW IF BOTTOM IS ALWAYS DARKER FOR INSTANCE.JUST A LITTLE KNOWLEDGE YOU HAVE THAT PRETTY MUCH HOLDS TRUE WHEN PAINTING WAVES.K? I HAVE ANOTGER ONE. WATER, BE OCEAN I GUESS. I know it has a horizon line. I was told that ALL LINES OFCOLOR HAVE TO BE PERFECTLY STRAIGHT HORIZONALLY TO LOOK RIGHT. IS THAT TRUE AND WHAT ABOUT THE WIND BLOWING OR THE PICTURE IS OF THE LAND BEING ON THE LEFT, WOULDNT THE WAVES TURN TOWARDS LAND? MAYBE IVE MISUNDERSTOOD? COULD YOU CLARIFY SOMETIME? THANKS TAMMY
