@@fergadelics I guess it's just a different approach, but you can use weight painting to mask were a texture or particle appears and with granular control, depending on how "heavy" the weight map is painted in a given area. It's especially handy for distribution maps for collections of meshes in a collection, say like a collection with several variations of rock meshes, or maybe some tree variants. Armour Paint is a cool tool that is solely focused on painting, masking, texturing, etc. I think it would be more useful to learn all of this in Blender though, especially if it's your core software. 👍✨
