HOW TO PAINT CRUSHED VELVET

This method can be used for painting any colour of crushed velvet just by changing the paints used. What matters is the stippling to create layers of texture and noise on the surface.

Great tutorial. Am trying to be more brave with texture, and this is very inspirational. One thing i would add are the bounce lights in the inward folds. You can clearly see the light reflecting inside in this vid, and i found for myself it adds a lot to not just darken these areas, but brightening them as if they were outside folds.
