This was super in depth, compared to way more popular channels that don’t tell you what to do at all. My only question is do you mix the 2 soft with the colours when you paint the design??

I know that this was a while ago, but if you were still wondering, yes. You will mix the 2 soft with all colors and have to heat/blow dry between each layer.

Should work just as good! I do like to add a fabric medium like GAC 900 or Angelou’s 2 soft to thin the paint and ensure it doesn’t crack.

Hi Angela! I have a ton of flat shoes 🥿 I can’t wear heals 😞 So my most comfortable shoes seem to have a wide front box. I have some Keds and other brands which are comfortable forms for me that look like boxes on my petite feet. I would like to Change the shape of them with Paint! Visually I would like the shoe to have a more pointed toe for a more flattering look. Is this possible?

Max Hinojosa the base and primer layer of white mixed with the 2soft gives it the flexibility it needs to not crack with wear. My results have been great with this method so far ! 🎨☺️

Great work!! I learned a lot & I’m hoping you could give me some advice 😅. I recently painted my vans using angelus acrylic, but I didn’t know about using the soft medium in the beginning nor the heating. How will this affect my work? Is there any way I can prevent the cracking if that’ll be the cause?

Thank you! And I’m not sure how that will look with wear. I don’t think there’s anything can prevent it once the paint is on . But angelus paint has a great texture im sure it’ll hold up well

I have vans that have lasted me years & still look great. also depends on how often you wear. I would recommend just wiping them with a rag or gentle soap and water and not using harsh chemicals. Might cause the paint to break down.

Slightly yes. It’s seals your work. They do sell water and stain protectant that would be a great extra barrier of protection 👌🏾

I dont have angelus paint but I have acrylic. is there anything I should note about using normal acrylic paint? also what type of sealer/finisher should I use to protect my work. my main focus is making it waterproof.

PTXCeline hey! acrylic paints work fine, but there’s a possibility the paint will crack with wear and bending of the shoe. That’s why I always use a base with 2 soft medium. Also any sealer would work. Mod podge or krylon carry finishing sprays. Again, I use angelus products because they work so well for me so I can’t be sure about anything else! Hope that helps.

@@chloexiao9100 mod podge has a sealing spray. I heard from other shoe customize that they dont reccomend normal mod podge. but krylon matte finish seems to be the most popular option. I managed to find it at a local craft store

You can but I’m not sure about the results you’d get. Depending on the consistency there might be cracking. Maybe add a medium to it that’s made for fabrics . 2soft or gac (golden)
