Hi Emma, love you, your son and your instructional videos. I recently rec’d the floral book you recommended last week and was amazed how helpful it is to study each flower. I showed it to my Sewing Bee and two ordered it too to help in their quilting. Thanks so much for all you do for us to make our lives happy! Judy

I bought that book a few weeks ago and I really love it. I dedicated a watercolor journal just for painting flowers from that book because it is so much fun and there’s no pressure to make a perfect flower. I have been experimenting with outlining with my very fine line platinum carbon fountain pen and I love the results. I love the way your flowers turned out. Very pretty.

I do love your style, Emma, and the down to earth way you teach, and I have learned a lot from you over time. There's only one thing I would recommend you'd try out, and it helped me a lot with my water control: I see you go in with a full brush of watered down colour to the paper every time. I have learned since then from other artists not to do that: too much water at once on the page. You can blot of some of the water/ colour paint of your brush on a towel or kitchen paper before you paint. It really helps. Who am I to give you advice? Just another painter who learned about water control and was grateful for the advice given. Please try it sometime, and do'n t be offended. Not meant like that, it is helped me lot with my art work. You have a great natural talent, Emma, and I hope you will carry on with these :videos for ever.

I had the sad duty of making a "white" watercolor card for my stylist, whose 15 year old son passed a month ago. So Emma, your video came to the rescue for me! (I also ordered and received the flower book here). What I LOVED was learning about the jagged edged leaves! I honestly don't know how you can look at a flower in this book, figure out in your head and hand HOW you're going to perfect it, but I take my hat off to you. Lovely as always, and I can't wait to try other colors as well. Many thanks, Emma! (btw--did you ever try that W&N wc paper? Curious...) Frances Turano Denver, CO

I did! You know, I found it was just a bit too rough. The paint and water didn’t glide on it like I usually like. Was a bit more difficult to work on. Hope you’re well!

@@EmmaLefebvre I know! I felt exactly the same way. Too absorbent. Nothing like Arches. I also ordered a bundle of your new Echr books. Pricey, but gorgeous. I love different wc papers. Give Lake Michigan Book Press a try. You customize it and it's scrumptious to even hold in your hands! Anyway, great vids! Time for another of your essential books!
