Fantastic I have just started a painting of an indigenous woman and can’t wait to use your techniques. I have sort of intuitively been doing what you do but you have helped me speed up the process with your technique. Gracias Señor

Great video. I actually found your video AFTER I found a different video which said to use burnt sienna instead of the umber. I'm painting a vinyl figure model & trying to get the right skin tone. Thanks!👍🏻

Glad to be of service. The burnt sienna isnt too bad to use. Its usually more warmer than the burnt umber but either one is fine. You can always warm up the burnt umber with a tiny touch of red/orange and you can always cool down the burnt sienna with some blues etc. All depends on what you are aiming for.

Well it's a vinyl model kit of Geordi LaForge from STtNg. I don't know if your familiar with the show. The actor is Levar Burton. In all my figure painting, skin tones has always been my weakest point. Thanks for quick response.

Use Golden Open paint. It dries slower than standard acrylic paint. Gives you several hours to work the canvas. Also storing your pallet in a sealed container and in the fridge will allow it to last.

I personally want my paint to dry fast as i paint in a layered style but this is a good solution for those who have trouble blending etc.

Very nice are you Jamaican? Your accent sounds like me. I was looking for colored skin tone so I checked out your tutorial, it’s very informative. Thank you.
