@dmeep2 жыл бұрын
the death guard is the superior choice. In one of the HH novels i forget wich one Corax muses over the fact that Horus main skill was swooping in after months of campaigning delivering a strike on the opposing high command after the battle was already won and stealing all the glory. Death guard fought their own battles while Horus took the glory and praise from the hard work of others.

Great tutorial! Thank you so much for the work! Death Guard was really close to being my first pick for my first army! Their paint scheme looks like it would be a ton of fun. I decided to stick with my Iron Warriors. But I'm definitely going to use some of the weather techniques on my guys! My special technique is the wash the lower half of the model in black and brown, and the top half in blue. Then do a zenithal spray with my rattle cans to create beautiful contrast between the lower and upper halves of the model!

Finding this scheme growing on me more, especially since yeah all the methods and such are in this vid - still think I'd want to push the armour a bit brighter and more towards say freshly cleaned and exposed bone though, also maybe go with Balthasar Gold (even if more for HQs and Elites rather than rank and file).

This looks great and is how I’m planning to do my Death Guard (at the test model, as I’m new to airbrushing) thank you for this video. This might be a silly question but in terms of characters and Mortarion is there anything you’d do as standard to make them more “special” like an extra highlight or do they achieve that just by being more detailed. I’m on Patreon so I’ll be going through the videos and working out how to do larger scale things such as vehicles but centrepiece models still intimidate me a bit.

Hi Henry, just found this channel and I'm loving the videos! I'm just curious as to why you sometimes choose to use an oil wash and sometimes use an enamel panel liner like Air Series AK Paneliners, are the oil washes better than the enamel panel liners or just different colour options?
@cultofpaint2 жыл бұрын
glad you're enjoying the vids. You get a slightly different effect from the two different products. I flit between which i prefer. But from an efficiency standpoint I think oil is the winner as I can use the same one to wash as i can to streak etc.
