Beautiful ❤️ do you know what size circle you used? I'm new when I walk the dot just the first two are round the they go to half dots. Am I just not putting enough paint on my tool? Thank you for a great video. It really helps you tell size and what you are going to do .

Super cute! what is the paints consistency? Any tips on which brands or colors work best or watering down the paints?
@LydiaMay

Thanks. In this video I use a mix of Apple Barrel regular acrylic paints and Multi surface. You may need to thicken the regular paint and thin the Multi surface. I made the mistake of buying a whole bunch of the regular paint before I learned the difference a quality paint makes. Apple Barrel paints are still okay, especially when starting out. And as you see, they work fine for dotting. I would recommend opting for the Multi surface and thinning it out with a drop or two of water or a gloss fluid medium such as Liquitex. I hope that helps.

Hi Hi from Canada Lydia I am new to this Tried out my first 12 square black canvas minis last evening. Sure is a technique or two to be learned to attain your level of expertise. I enjoyed watching you create this design. My question is, did you let any paints dry before dotting on the last micro dots ie. pink of top of the red dots?
@LydiaMay
@LydiaMay 5 жыл бұрын
Yes! It is important to let each dot layer completely dry before adding another. :)

Hi! I need help. I’m using acrylic and I can’t seem to get the consistency right. The one from the tube comes off too thick. Please make a tutorial for it!
@LydiaMay
@LydiaMay 6 жыл бұрын
Tube paint is VERY thick stuff! I will try and do that for you. In the meantime, have you tried adding a little bit of water to some? It helps thin it out.

That’s gorgeous! I’m curious, could a mandala pattern be put on a billowing dress? I recently saw a pour painting turned into a Spanish dancer’s dress and it looked lovely. Made me wonder if this technique could be used on a painting with a person in a long dress.
