My bubbles might of been a bit too big but my husband loved it and was almost to tears when he saw it. (n_n) He said the bubble size is fine and gives it a feel of depth perception like the bubbles are closer to you which is why they're bigger. Lisa, you bubbles are magic. It looks so easy when you do it, but everything looks easy when you do it. We all appreciate your tutorial videos. Your description is so clear and informative. I agree with 'shedz channel' in that when you add the highlight to the top and bottom, the bubble pops out. I am still a little confused on the shadows under the bubbles on the wall. Is this that the bubbles are just a small space away from the wall? I am a little confused at the shadow going to the point. As I keep watching it over, I will begin to understand. This is great and we all appreciate your time and effort in helping us. Thanks

Its something I do on surreal paintings. It isn't something you would ever see in real life as bubbles don't tend to hover in front of walls :D

Beautiful. Do you have one using coloured pencils?
@michaelparry138310 жыл бұрын
Lisa, another question popped up when watching this video again. If you were to paint a clear or transparent marble or glass sphere would you use the same techniques as the water bubbles, but use the shadow techniques like you used on the bubbles on the flat surface as was done during t the last of the demonstration on bubbles. Would you refract some of the background pattern image if the sphere was in front of a background other than a plane background? Just looking for other possibilities using this bubble technique.
@Lachri10 жыл бұрын
You can always refract some of the background into the shadow or in front of bubbles or marbles and other glass. This was a very basic and fast type of bubble, but you can always go much more advanced (that will be another tutorial in the future) by reflecting more detail. Even the shine on the bubbles can be done in a way that reflects its surroundings.
@michaelparry138310 жыл бұрын

+Aqlimiyah Williams it does matter very much, the silhouette of the real waterdrop takes on the color of the background, try and look at some images of real water, youll realize it.If you paint it black and white, it wont be realistic.
