I've wanted to be a concept artist for games my whole life. I ended up convinced I would never make it in the art world, because of how much "better" so many others were...and now I'm 5 years out of college, with an unfulfilling career in tech support, playing Apex every night and drawing every day at my work desk. Your channel has given me the inspiration to work harder on my art than ever, and maybe one day actually achieve my dream. Thanks for everything!

Im not going to sugar coat and say just study really hard and practice everyday and you will land a job as an artist in the game industry. Nahhh, it is very, very hard to make it as artist in the game industry as the competition is through the roof. However, if you believe you have the natural talent for it and are willing sacrifice shit tons of time to practice art, your chance of landing game artist job will be high.

@@2buiart Thank you for the reply! I totally appreciate the honesty. The insane amount of competition has always been what's held me back - really just the feeling of "there's probably someone better out there" keeping me from even trying...but I struggle in general with belief in my own abilities. Your vids have really helped me understand that while my skill might not quite be there yet, I can see a path to improving, one founded in diligent practice and love of the craft. Thank you so so much for sharing your knowledge and passion for art with us plebs (: Btw, rocking your Gibraltar background in my game right now! Gibby has never looked more fierce. Can't wait for more!

How are you doing now btw ? Do you have any ig account or website where you display your works ? I'm curious 🙂
@laughingwolf3302 жыл бұрын
@@rudfaja9314 thank you for your curiosity! I went the opposite direction in terms of all this - I don't care at all anymore about having a job in any specific industry, I realized art is a sacred thing that every being is entitled to make for their own pleasure and no other reason - all I care about now is expressing my self authentically, and showing others that they too have the freedom & ability to do so (:

Uber! Glad u found me 😄 Seems like brushes have been requested the most, seems odd since there are many KZbin tutorial cover the topic already. Thought?

@@2buiart923 I guess you're right, there are plenty of brush settings videos out there. Maybe save it for a subscriber milestone or something? Though I feel someone with your experience could put an interesting spin on it. A channel trailer also wouldn't be too bad.
