You are such a master painter! I watch you because watercolor still isn't my forte. About eyes: I have a problem as to where to put the white on the iris. Seems that I can do it while painting people but not animals. And one mess up is hard to change but not with acrylic because that can be repainted. What is the rule as to where to put the white on the iris? Thanks for any help.

Sherry, you are very kind, regarding the white highlight, I always look 'very' closely at the reference photograph, and imagine a clock face with the centre of the eye being the centre of the clock. Think about where the highlight is within the photo and roughly what 'time' it is within that clock face. This way I tend to get the highlight in the correct place. Another tip, note that highlights are not always bright white, some can be quite dull and just a touch of lifted off paint would suffice. Hope this helps, Paul 🎨

I appreciate your efforts, but this video skipped around more than I like. I learn better from videos beginning to end, on one painting.

Not a problem at all, obviously we are trying to meet everyone's tastes, but it's not always possible. 😔 We do have more eyes in watercolour videos coming up over the next few weeks, so hopefully you will find those easier to watch. Keep those brushes wet, whatever project you have on the go. Paul 🎨
