How to paint faces on miniatures Part 1

hello everyone and welcome back to my channel, I was not able to make any youtube videos for a few months due to my schedule and a few other things I had going on. On top of that, the app I normally use to edit my videos was not working so that delayed me as well. I switched over to a different more reliable one so now I have nothing to worry about.
This is the first of a series of videos I will be making on how to paint miniature model's faces. This tutorial goes over the basics of making a clean and easy paint job to make any mini look really good without spending too much time. Other videos will include how to paint things such as different ethnic skin colors, a more in-depth explanation on ways to paint eyes, and how to paint hair shadows and mustache marks.

@@FALCONMINISTUDIOS I agree with the sharing of knowledge! I've been at this hobby for going on a year now, and I have learned quite a bit. People tell me I should sell them or take commissions now; I'm planning to pull the trigger on launching my own channel this year.

@@davidholden7277 you should definitely do it! Im not much of a computer geek but with some basic knowledge I've learned, simple yet effective editing tips just using my phone and a couple of apps ive been able to revamp my channel between last year and this one and I love it. Now with more programs and things to make it easier for content creators its so much more enjoyable to make and edit videos doing what you love. I'd say start soon man I'm sure you are ready, now is the best time.

With market changes though I've been struggling, and with a long-standing interest in getting on KZbin I think this is the right move. I'll stay in touch - maybe we can challenge each other to do more and do better!

Im sure when you start your channel and have it going we can talk about collabs and stuff like that. Will definitely keep in touch. Would be very interested in a dark skin tone video, don't see a ton of tutorials on them. How're you attaching the head to the skewer, hot glue?

Yes indeed! This is why I mentioned in this video ill be doing a series of them. Tje next one precisely will be dark skin tone. I have casted a models head to use as demo for skin tone painting in this series of videos. I agree with you on the lack of skin tone options out there with was what motivated me. Ill also be doing oriental, Latino, pacific islander, and native American skin tones as well both for a male and a female face. I will also do fantasy I have planed vampire and elf skin tones too so that will be a nice little Playlist

This is very bad advice. Your paint is layered way too thickly and the highlights are sloppy. Also all of the models have crazy googly eyes lol
