Three things: First of all, I love your style of painting. It is somehow very loose, yet it expresses the subject's essence well. Second, you are good at clearly explaining your techniques. However, you do not need to say, "you know" so often. Maybe we know and perhaps we don't. Just say what you feel you want to say without the "you know."

All too often I hear teachers telling students to be in a rush, basically to fight the nature of watercolors! Not enough people understand what you can capture in watercolor if you approach it with a calm mind and you’re helping to bring that. -Question....I see many WC artists paint without covering the entire painting with a first layer. They may only do the sky first then let it dry and then painting something else. Is it just personal preference to paint the whole sheet in a first layer instead of sections? Please explain the advantages.
