Great vid - would love to see a detailed 360 view of the model at the end though

Love your videos, great stuff! But it would be nice to see some pics of the finished miniature at the end of the video. Cheers

You make it look so easy Les, especially with that cloth work. The bone work is definitely an interesting take on painting bone. Very cool!

Some great tips in this video. I especially like the way you did your rusty metal. I really want to try that out on some skeletons I've got waiting on my painting table.

Best painting video i have seen! Simply perfect in many ways. Only downside (for me at least) is the use of vallejo instead of citadel which i want to use.

Nice to see some proper effort going into a skeleton... they tend to get the no-love-drybrush treatment. Very nice!

Thanks for another fantastic video. I just started into the hobby not too long ago, and am just finishing up my first few projects. Your videos have really advanced my abilities to passable quickly, which I never really expected to reach. Maybe one day I'll make it to acceptable or better : P

I'm getting started on mini painting as a hobby and I'd been meaning to figure out something: How do Vallejo Game Air paints fare on the brush? What different cares do you have to take with them? For me it's much easier to acquire those instead of most mode color and game color paints.

I use fleshtone shade (or the equivalent) for skeletons all the time - but I've never done it over grey, just over more beige bone colors...

Just in case you can't respond/see my comment on your channel directly for some reason, I have a few questions about your wash recipes for modeling and airbrushes... Question 1) Do they all come out as clear colors when dry? Question 1a) If so, but you want it in a solid color, do you either add more pigment ink, add successive layers of paint, or fiddle with the ratio you put up? I ask because I wonder if this is a good method for making straight up paints as needed instead of weathering or clear colors... Question 2) Is the mix already good to go for Airbrushing? Question 2a) If not, would it be better to thin the recipe via ratios or acryllic thinner?

How thin do you make your paints? I know model color is thicker, I use about 1:1 for MC.

What kind of brush is that you're using to black line your miniature o.o looks really strange though the tip on that is really good. Ever use it for eyes?
@LesterBursleyMiniatures10 жыл бұрын
Never used it to paint eyes. I got the brushes on amazon, search for "Eye of the Tiger by Dynasty - Set H Liners".

Hey man, awesome video. My only criticism: can we get a good 360 of the finished product?
@jimeronimo5 жыл бұрын
Hey Lester. Always a fan and your vid format is awesome. Showing the paints as used and the zoom showing the effects as your putting the paint on.. question. Any reason for the order of the areas you paint? Armor and metal first to finish then the fabric then bone, etc?

Hey Lester, Great job! This "How to" was very useful and the words you use and how you describe what you are doing is very clear. Thank you! I was wondering if White Primer would be a good choice for skeletons. Any advice on that? Thanks.

Like how you're using minis from other companies. I love Mantic, some great sculpts. Looking forward to see where else you go.

Mantic did a good job with this box of models. Easy to put together and the detail is nice. The channel will take new direction this year so you will see really new stuff, even some outside the miniature world and into the large resin kit market.
