Just so you know, there is a tree "down south" called a mimosa tree, and they have leaves that look like small ferns. When it comes into bloom they have soft, fuzzy pink flowers, Love this painting.

What can be used instead of the dioxazine purple?

Dioxazine shade of purple is hard to make but you can get something very similar by mixing magenta and either cobalt or ultramarine blue 👍🎨
