I am always impressed how your use those large paint brushes to paint and blend your background so quickly and beautifully. Do you use acrylic extender to keep paint fluid for blending? You are so sure handed.

Very beautiful I will be trying this soon, I love painting but mostly used oils before, tried acrylics, my stuff looked cartoonish, and I remember it felt more stiff where the oil paints were easier to flow on canvas. What was I doing wrong? Can you do a video on how to bring your art to life vs the cartoon look ? Thanks 😎👍🏻

With acrylic I like to keep a wet brush and you just have to take your time with it and embrace texture to bring it to life

Another amazing piece, Joni! I love how you've been escaping your comfort zone lately by painting more figures instead of landscapes. I'm the complete opposite! I started painting about 23 years ago, when I was 20, by painting very detailed watercolor fairies. I have a whole collection. But about 8 years ago, I decided to venture into acrylic landscapes because medical issues were preventing me from doing the intricate detail work of my fairies. Hi Joni, beautiful work I'm looking forward to paint one of your creation on a wall in my back yard is the ocean with the small island and coconut 🌴 love it!!! You’ll definitely need outdoor paint, waterproof 😘 I’d use latex and it comes in any colour you want. Be sure to apply a sealer over it that won’t yellow. The people on the paint department can help you

Prep the wall first before painting your mural. A primer or sealer may be necessary

big fan of your tutorials Joni. I've really enjoyed painting along on several of them and i can clearly see my techniques improving thanks to your example. One thing i have struggled with is getting my white as bright and poppy as yours. I feel like ive tried everything to no avail. Your moon seems luminous in this one while mine appears a dull shade of cream. 😔 Nevermind though, i shall keep at it. Thank you for sharing your amazing gift, your paintings are truly inspiring to say the least, and the colour and detail in your pieces are exquisite 💕💕

I’m painting on stretched canvas not board😘 but as for hanging canvas art, there are many “free floating” kits you can find. They are easy to apply and look great as is without needing to pay for framing
