Well hello there my fair Unkindled... Welcome to the 1st edition of REPAINTING my older miniatures! My plan for this series is to revisit some of my... less good paint jobs from within my first year of painting, and to kinda see how I can improve them with techniques I've picked up over the past 12 months.
Today we are taking on the most epic duo boss around (sorry Friede) the Anor Londo legends themselves, Ornstein and Smough.

This page has allowed me to share my journey with learning to 3D print and paint models from my favourite games, so I wanted to share the process with all of you! From painting and collecting all the models from the Dark Souls Boardgame, the Bloodborne Boardgame and also printing dozens of Elden Ring Characters, Dark Souls Figures, Bloodborne Models, Sekiro Statues and also Fromsoftware Dioramas, I'm trying to improve my painting skills with every video and I'd love for you to join! First Dark Souls is my favorite. It was my entry into the series and holds a special place in my heart for that reason.

Love this look! Ornstein and Smough and probably the most iconic bosses in the series, I could stare at them all day. As for my favourite game, I've only played Dark Souls 1, Bloodborne and Elden Ring (in that order). Favourite would have to be Elden Ring. Dark Souls has an unmatched vibe and certain gave me a unique feeling playing for the first time, Bloodborne has the coolest world but Elden Ring is something I just can't pull myself away from, the characters and lore feel so fleshed out and the gameplay just doesn't get boring, I love it.

My favorite FromSoftware game is DS1. It’s not my favorite to play, but it has the best memories that go along with it. I played it with my uncle and my brother, and we we’re all seeing how far we could get and how fast, all on different consoles at the same time. None of us played a Dark Souls game before, but we all stuck with it.

Dark Souls 1 would have to be my favorite on this call. The feel of wearing heavy armor, the feel of getting surrounded with no idea is coming towards you was to compelling. Not to mention the lore is amazing.

My favorite game in the series is Dark Souls 1, it truly was a rediscovery of gaming for me back when I first played it at a friends' house, the interconnected world on the first playthough blew my mind, and the feeling of terrified discovery is still unmatched to this day for me, now a veteran of the series.

Dark souls 3 was my first, and favorite game by FromSoftware. Despite the more linear structure compared to previous entries, the bosses never fail to amaze me and are the reason I still come back to the game time and time again.

My favorite FromSoft game has to be Ds2. As wonky as some of the mechanics are, I just am so in love with the games atmosphere and the way it focuses on the human/hollowing aspect of the dark souls story. I grew up with Dark souls, starting with Ds1 when I was around 5-8, then ds2 when I was around 8-13, etc. I’m so in love with this series and the sense of nostalgia and the atmosphere of Ds2 makes it my personal favorite.

hands down my favourite fromsoft title is sekiro; i’m a BIG rhythm game fan so being able to mix the timing gameplay and fromsoft gameplay is such an a+ idea when it comes to my preferences. good luck to all who entered !!

Dark souls 1 is my favourite because it got me into the franchise and it’s intertwined level design is so unique and amazing. I’ll always remember dreading the ornstein and smough boss fight because of how everyone had said it was so hard but I did the fight with solaire summoned and he made it an absolute cakewalk :)

Ds3 was my first Soulslike and will propably forever be my favorite for the boss fights and the stellar soundtracks

My favorite fromsoft game is ds3! I love its scale and epicness, and how quick you can run through the game. Its speed and linear design really helps on creating new builds and going into ng+s. Ive played the game 4 times now and I love every part of it. I also enjoy the pvp in it the most out of the fromsoft games ive played.

Demon’s Souls is my favorite. It’s not the best by a long shot these days but the feeling it gave me to experience a Souls game for the first time has never been matched. Something just clicked when I first saw Boletaria.

My number 1 From Software game is Armored Core Verdict Day. It was very fun to play online, it had an awesome industrial aesthetic that let it stand out more from the other titles in the series and it had an awesome soundtrack written by From Software's in-house band FreQuency.

I'm new to Fromsoftware games and this channel, only discovering this wonderful rabbit hole via my foray into elden ring 2 months ago. I'd just like to say that I'm loving your videos, and, as a tabletop gamer for 4 years(WH40k), your paintjobs are among the best I've seen. Of course, since my only Fromsoft game is Elden Ring, it's got to be my favourite., although I'm looking forward to trying Bloodborne sometime.

My favorite FS game for sure is Sekiro! I loved the change in combat and the setting. It’s what got me into the soulsborne games after failing at dark souls 3 haha. Sekiro was the first game I actually saw myself getting better at each time I played

My favorite game is Bloodborne, i played it for the first time on 2021 after a really bad time. I've following the game since it's release but couldn't play it then. That game lifted me up, the story is so deep as well as it's characters even if it's sad, you keep going on trying to understand it.

Tough question. There are things I like/love about each of the Dark Souls games (moreso than Bloodborne or Sekiro or Demon's Souls and haven't played ER yet). I guess I would pick DS1. It is the most nostalgic for where I was in life when I started into this series. I really enjoyed my slow crawl through the game (due to the mystery of the world, apprehension to delve into the scarier sections, taking it step by step to learn the layout and enemies, the unexpected designs and badass armor/clothing/weapons, literally the sounds of running through the world, you always felt pretty alone, and the game never felt like it turned off. It was very poetic. Also my favorite enemy design is in DS1, and I see you will be doing that in this series!

Picking a favorite From Software game is difficult, but if you put a blunderbuss to my head, I'd probably say Bloodborne. I really liked the fast, aggressive gameplay, and the art designers clearly had a ball creating the Gothic setting and breathing new life into monsters like vampires, werewolves, and even Lovecraftian horrors, making them all scary again despite being considered old hat.

I feel like for most people, their first soulsgame is their favorite. My first one was DS3, and its def my favorite out of the series. It has some of the best bosses in the series

Bloodborne has to be my favorite out of all of frontsoft’s games, I absolutely adore the entire soulsborne series but there’s just something about it, it’s a masterpiece

Great Channel, I started painting 1 year ago. I don't use Air Brush, but I must say we are at the same level. Still, I learned some new tricks from you that I was not using with this video, and also helped me to correct a mistake I was doing after the Zenithal Highlight. One extra step I do after Zenithal highlights is the underpainting step, by accentuating the shadows even more with localized Citadel Shade: Nuln Oil or Army painter Dark tone in the recesses and the light areas with s quick white glaze with medium. Regarding my favorite From Software game, I must without a doubt say DS1, is the game that got me back into video gaming after year of not being interested. Also, special mention to Kuon, amazing resident evil clon from From Software.

Really shows how forgoing the easier path of TMM special paints and trying out non-metallic metal painting can beautifully add to the style. I think the NMM (not to mention the blood effects) really add to the grime of the models, in a good way that keeps them with the feeling of their setting. As for my favorite fromsoft game?, admittedly I've never completed one, and while I don't plan on going back to them (no time to get good :/), the feeling of defeating even just the first Dark Souls 3 boss after many attempts will always remain in my heart.

Bloodborne is definitely my favourite fromsoft game, I love the setting and themes, and the lovecraftian horror towards the end is great. Plus the unique gameplay features like rallying and trick weapons are great!

Without a doubt my favorite fromsoft game would have to be Bloodborne. The quick paced combat, the Lovecraftian theme, and ofc the trick weapons. It just blows me away on every playthrough. Now I'm taking my friend through it for his first playthrough. It was my second fromsoft game after ds1 and has stayed at my number one ever since.

I gotta say my favorite is Dark Souls 1. I love the entire trilogy (yes, even DS2 included), Bloodborne, Sekiro and Elden Ring. I don't have much experience with Demon Souls. I would say Bloodborne is my number 1 pick, but Dark Souls was the introduction for me for these amazing games so I go for that.

its so nice of you to giveaway this set. my fave of the fromsoft games now thats tricky. i really like the more bright aesthetic of ds2 but i also like how ds1 all interconnects and you have these amazing shots. but i think my fave is ds3 because its just stunning. ik ik i only did the dark souls series but outside of dark souls sekiro is the better of the non dark souls

While bloodborne left the biggest impact on my love of cosmic horror DS1 has to take the cake being the game that got my confidence up in my first year of college. Something about that game made me feel like I was able to accomplish to impossible and get out there!

Picking my favorite game is always a bit difficult, picking my favorite fromsoftware game is even harder. But I will pick as my 1º best fromsoftware game as Dark Souls 3. (have not played Bloodborne yet tho unfornetely, damn ps4 exclusivity). I love everything about that damn game. It has the best boss and most balanced fights from Fromsoftware ( examples : abyss watchers, pontiff, soul of cinder, sister friede, slave knight gael, darkeater midir etc). Some of the most memorable and best soundtracks from all gaming for me ( examples : menu theme, abyss watchers, dragonslayer armour, firelink shrine, slave knight gael etc I also love the artstyle, its the game that just screams "dark fantasy", the world visually is dying (i will talk about this later). now the lore is also amazing, and it defines the perfect ending of a series, after thousands of cycles of kindling the flame and the flame losing its strength, a world asking to die and to let the flame die, time and space are convoluted. even the world itself is getting corrupted with "diseases" such as the abyss and the deep, not to mention the thousands of hollows from all these cycles of suffering and giving up. All the Lords of cinder, fully aware of the sad state of the world refuse to continue it either by personal choice or because they have none. Even the ruler of the kingdom, one crippled ruler decides the cycles needs to end, opposing the royal and eternal tradition of linking the fire, his brother who cares for him and is a champion of the kingdom followed his path to the dark as well, to end this miserable universe asking to die. But this is not how the story ends, a divine painter can create a new world, rid of the diseases and corruption of the current one if she obtains the very primordial and powerful substance who created humanity itself. in order to reach this goal, we end up in a desert with the ashes of all the past cycles and generations fighting another ashen one, one who went mad after realizing the power of the dark soul. cant think of a better ending, chills.

Thanks for making this series. It’s a really interesting idea and the giveaway it very generous. I’ve never played a From Software game because I’m exclusively a tabletop gamer, but I love the aesthetic of the souls series, which brought me here. The blood detail on the hammer looks really effective at conveying the scale of the thing and made my stomach drop a little imagining all that it’s crushed.

my favorite is ds3 by a large margin. it has a perfectly depressing atmosphere while still being beautiful. the characters and bosses feel unique and the gameplay feels the most satisfying. but the main reason I love it is yhorm who is probably my favorite boss of all time.

I've just recently gotten into painting myself, doing some D&D minis but also the minis from the Bloodborne board game, so seeing how you paint with all this experience has really helped me in my painting process. I just recently beat DS1 for the first time and really enjoyed it, Ornstein and Smough were seriously one of the most fun fights I've ever done in a From game. However, favorite one has got to go to Bloodborne. I think it's a perfect game, inside and out, which is precisely why I bought the board game with all the expansions! Can't wait to see the other models in this set!

I think the first dark souls is still my favourite, although that can easily be summed up as feeling nostalgic for my first souls experience haha. :) I love the enemy design and gothic horror themes in bloodborne though. Stylistically bb is my fave.

The best soulsborne game.. Difficult choice… dark souls 1 got me into the genre. I was terrible at first, and I quit soon afterwards. I picked it back up a couple of months later and pushed through and absolutely LOVED it from then on. :-) When bloodborne came out, I immediately completed it 3 times in a row, it’s simply that great and one of my favoriete games ever.

The repainting work was amazing and the way the nmm golden was applied on the model, worked really well with the overall aesthetic the FromSoftware games have. With that being said, my favourite game used to be Bloodborne, but I’ve been just falling more and more in love with Elden ring, can’t wait for the dlc to come out!

After only playing Elden Ring and Dark Souls Remastered, the first dark souls is becoming my favorite. Although the game isn’t as smooth as Elden Ring. The story and setting is on point. Even with the clunky gameplay, it was very enjoyable
