Welcome back folks - to the Re-Painting Series! My plan for this series is to revisit some of my... less good paint jobs from within my first year of painting, and to kinda see how I can improve them with techniques I've picked up over the past 12 months.
Today we are taking on the Main Characters of the Boardgame, the Knight, the Herald, the Assassin and the Warrior.
This page has allowed me to share my journey with learning to 3D print and paint models from my favourite games, so I wanted to share the process with all of you! From painting and collecting all the models from the Dark Souls Boardgame, the Bloodborne Boardgame and also printing dozens of Elden Ring Characters, Dark Souls Figures, Bloodborne Models, Sekiro Statues and also Fromsoftware Dioramas, I'm trying to improve my painting skills with every video and I'd love for you to join! Also the Bells in the abyss watchers fight that sounds like the a bell tolling to announce the sick or dead; alluding to the fact that they have partially fallen to the abyss

I don't know about all of you, but in dark souls 3 I got absolutely taken by sister Friede's theme, especially the sharp transition when entering the second phase. Absolutely stunning. It's as if the song is telling of a dance with two where one must sacrifice the other, but can't. The push and pull of their love is stronger than their resolution. The music bends in sorrow, but as soon as it falls, the melody quickly changes to anger. Such an elegant piece.

My top favorite OST of all time is soul of cinder OST, both phases. The way the music changes between p1 and p2 is so amazing that i get goose bumps every single time i hear the phase change. The amazing call back to gwyn with this OST is brilliant. I like more p2 theme but p1 is not short after it. Together they make the cinematic masterpiece that is soul of cinder boss fight. Honorable mention to the most chill and comforting theme that is Majula OST, it is so good that i needed to mention it too.

I would have to say Godrick’s theme from Elden Ring. I love how it fits his character of being a coward and it also just sounds awesome.

wonderful job as always! its gotta be DS3’s main theme for me, it is such a beautiful and powerful theme. everytime i open DS3, i’ll stay at the menu just to hear the song over and over, i even listen to it at the gym and at home randomly

Gehrman's theme is absolute musical perfection, easily my favorite. It's somber yet enlightening which matches the story it's paired with, and of course it has a huge soundstage with beautiful instrumental progression. It's so good that the merchants in Elden Ring even play it on their instruments.

Ds3 has the best overall sound track, but Gwyn's theme is by far the most beautiful and nostalgic OST. Theres nothing else like it.

There is something so eerie, yet relaxing about Majulas theme that it is, together with the melancholic theme of Gwyn, my favourite out of all of them.

While maybe not the best objectively, the ash lake theme is EXACTLY what it needs to be for the moment it plays, and is undeniably iconic

I'll forever remember 'Secret Betrayal' from DS3. Giving the Firekeeper the eyes and suddenly the whole Firelink Shrine music changing really made it feel like even the Shrine wasn't a real safe haven. Made me frantically explore all over the world to try to undo this and eventually finding out how, really made me question what I was doing in the whole story

I’m gonna have to say Ancestor and Regal Ancestor themes are top tier for me and unpopular opinion I think the Majula theme from DS2 is a good one too they’re my go too if I need soothing background noise 😌😌😌 your talent never ceases to amaze me

i think the Gaping Dragon's theme is really underrated. probably my favourite boss soundtrack of the original Dark Souls

For me the best OST is Bloodborne. From the subtle tones heard while going through the areas to the grand boss themes booming through your headphones to incite terror and madness. Absolutely incredible soundtrack.

Definitly DS1, sif's theme, ornstein and smough, moonlight butterfly is only memorable to me because of the song and oviously... PLIN PLIN PLON

Ludwig is my favorite piece of music on its own, but Majula is my favorite in terms of its narrative purpose. Majula is this tranquil, safe area, yet the unsettling music makes you feel distrustful, as though you are unable to accept its comfort. Dark Souls III’s main title music is also my favorite title music from any video game; there is such an epic sense of nostalgia to the piece, in how it repeatedly builds up strength, but then at the climactic moment reaches out wistfully toward something no longer present. A perfect illustration of the game’s themes, of a kingdom collapsing under the impossible task of living up to its own mythology

This question is probably the hardest one, my favorite OSTs are the more unique ones. Gwyn OST is amazing, the final fight of the game and it is just a piano playing. Gwynevere OST is the perfect representation for what you feel after you defeat Ornstein and Smough and get the Lordvessel. Mergo OST is probably one of the creepiest in all the games (Yahar'gul Unseen Village chanting is also very creepy). Of all the hub areas OST Majula is the the best one in my opinion, it is so calm and relaxing.

Bloodborne's soundtrack is my favorite of the bunch, and the standout track in it for me is probably "Hail the Nightmare," which plays in Yahar'Gul. It's VERY creepy and unsettling, it's the only song in the game that plays in a non-Dream part of the world and not just in a boss fight, and it makes you feel like something very ominous is happening where you are. And something very much IS; Sister Adele's dialogue implies the singing can be heard in-universe as well, which makes it even scarier!

man this is easily the toughest question yet. love the dancer, vordt, moonlight butterfly, sif, and newest to the list, godrick. godricks ost really is just so good to me. so well arranged and just tells such a story in its composition. my favorite track of all may just simply have to be the main menu music from the OG Dark Souls. that harp is so vibey. also gotta give credit to gwyn’s theme. still the king. plin plin plon.

There's obviously so many amazing themes, but Laurence The First Vicar's theme is 100% my favorite. It's an amazing example of musical storytelling, and it just contextualizes the entirety of Bloodborne. Even if the fight isn't amazing, the implications of it, and especially the theme song, make it my favorite. Still makes me tear up.

Love how your colour choices really bring these minis to life. As for my favourite OST, I'm leaning towards either the Hunter's Dream theme (pre-Rom), or the theme that plays during Dark Souls 1's character creation screen. Purely out of nostalgic reasons, of course.

For me, nothing can beat Gwyn's theme. It truly feels like its a battle of two powerful warriors at the edge of the world. Super thematic

Difficult to choose among all the great compositions, but it is definitely the theme of Majula. I still remember the first time I walked into Manjula, it was hypnotic, the music, the sound of the waves, and then the haunting sight. I spent 15 minutes looking at the silky waves of the sea.

My favorite theme would have to be Sister Friede's theme from Dark Souls 3. The boss fight is brutal to get through but walking back into the boss room to be met with that haunting theme every time got me back into the rhythm of things.

Ooooooohhh the best music, now that's a hard one. It's all so good. I would say plin plin plon always gives me the the feels when fighting Gwynn in DS1. All the bosses themes are epic and grand scale and the plin plin plon kindoff catches you off guard. You feel like you've reached the end of your journey. I love that they brought it back in ds3 in the final fight. When the plin plin plon appeared during the soul of cinder fight, yeah that gave me goosebumps over my entire body.

For me it’s the background music when you first enter the Lands Between in Elden Ring. I keep that OST on when I’m reading or trying to meditate and it’s perfect

Nothing can top the DS3 Secret Betrayal Firelink Shrine theme. It has an incredibly alluring vibe to it!

I can't really pick an all-time favorite, but as I was skimming through some of the OST I realised just how good Dark Souls 2's was. Majula's theme is just so good, and the boss themes are amazing. The ruin sentinel's and sir alonne's really stood out to me.

I absolutely loved the entire bloodborne soundtrack, but a song that stuck out would easily have to be Micolash, Nightmare Host. Love the eerie and foreboding sounds. Keep up the great work!

I’m not the biggest fan of bloodborne, but Ludwig’s theme slaps. It complements his fight perfectly and the way it switches up is amazing

Bloodborne definitely has the greatest soundtrack of all games. With obviously Ludwig, the Holy Blade OST as a winner. With Father Gascoigne's theme as my second favorite. Both are incredibly intense!

Radagon’s and Elden Beast’s theme both are fantastic for the end of Elden Ring, going from empowering and hopeful to a more ethereal and mysterious feeling. Definitely one of my favourite tracks in all of FromSoft.

My favourite theme has to be Vordt of the Boreal Valley. I just think they got that theme absolutely spot on and it really sets up the rest of Dark Souls 3 because I can't really think of a bad piece of music in that game

My favorite OST will always be lady Maria’s theme from Bloodborne. That song is so beautiful and captures the beauty and terrifying nature of lady maria. I listen to it all the time! There is no doubt from soft knows how to make music!

I love the Princes battle theme from DS3. I know there are so many other great themes, but Princes theme has a feeling of finality to it. That combined with Lorian's ferocity - the music gets me pumped each time. Btw, you are a fantastic artist! I'm very glad I stumbled upon your channel.

The best OST in my opinion is Longing that plays during the end credits of Dark Souls 2. It really hit me in the feels when I completed it and brings back the memory of completing it for the first time in one day with a buddy of mine

Dark Souls 3 has the best soundtrack hands down for me. Vordt, Pontiff Sullyvahn, Twin Princes, Soul of Cinder and the theme tune all go so hard. But Ludwig’s second phase tune is probably my favourite closely followed by Radagon/the Elden Beast

I think my personal favourite is Radagon, the journey Elden Ring takes you on is long and brutal, but to have the main soundtrack from the menu be incorporated in the boss is genius. It makes the boss feel more like a final boss. Also the sound track for the Elden beast is pretty good but the fight itself is bad.

Ludwig the Holy Blade OST fromsoftware's OST are freaking amazing, I have almost every single one of them downloaded and I even dance to them sometimes and I listen to them in the gym, they are some of the most Epic and emotional soundtracks I have ever heard. with that said, Ludwig the holy blade is just on another level, its a gift sent from God, with the best atmosphere and rhythm and "beat drop" ever, it has been 6 years since its release, and I still listen to it and everytime I hear it again I still think to myself "man this is freaking awesome"

Took me a minute to review, but I knew I already knew this answer: Burnt Ivory King OST! So epic, such awesome crescendos. DS2 has its pitfalls and its gems. The "Child of Dark" track as you descend toward Elana is also haunting and beautiful and sad and very minimal, as far as a composition goes.

My favorites are ds1 main theme and good old plin plin plon. Ds1 OST is so chilling and yet exciting, definitely my favorite main OST of the game. Gwyn's plin plin plon is so well done with piano, it is sąd instead of epic to reflect Gwyn's fate. Amazing sound story telling.

My favorite would have to be Lord's Apparition (Shade of Godfrey) from Elden Ring. The choir in the song honestly fit extremely well with the setting and the situation of "I am fighting the first Elden Lord in spirit".

I love the music in ds3 the most I pretty sure I’ve mentioned this but the theme for the abyss watchers is on of my favorite ost is one of my favorite of all time and the menu music just has a way of hyping you up all of the music ether fills you with dread or power but all of it feels grand

I have a whole list... the abyss watchers, ludwig the accursed/holy blade, dark sun gwyndolin, gwyn lord of cinder, yhorm, lothric and lorian, ornstein and smough, the old demon king, this series has some of the greatest music in all of gaming history.
