Nicely put together video, this will help me create a good looking army on the battle field! Really appreciate the tutorial. If you’re looking for projects or ideas, I cannot find a decent tau vehicle/tank camouflage video in the same white colour scheme as this video without the use of an airbrush.

I just ordered a ghostkeel. I'm planning on doing Farsight Enclaves. So I'm thinking of swapping the whites and reds. And using Khorne as opposed to Mephiston red. Great video Coach!

Sorry for being late to the party but I want to say Thanks for doing this tutorial. The Ghostkeel and your other Tau fire Warrior shorts is helping me a lot with my pile of shame ^-^; With your awesome tips I can hopefully get through painting all these Tau models in a nice quick manner and still look presentable since I cannot for the life of me accept "battle ready" quality painting LOL I am sooo picky XDDD Hope to see more Tau tutorials in the future! Would be awesome to see. It is quite a unique scheme as it doesn't seem to have any metallic trim. It has lots of grim and battered looking armour. It would be awesome to see your take on it.

Excellent guide. I’m just working through this with my son. One question - we’re rookies so what are you using to glue the painted sub-assemblies and panels together when done? I’m assuming plastic glue won’t work?!

Thanks - you have two options - either carefully scrape away the paint on the connection points and use plastic glue as normal, or use superglue - superglue will work fine but if you will be playing with the model, plastic is probably better

I've done farsight enclaves as a short - I'd use the exact same reds in that tutorial, along with the black colours from my Viorla tutorial 👍🏻

Hey Coach, Great video. One question: you recommend the use of oil paint for the panel lining or recess accents, which brand/product did you mention in your video? And how much thinner would you use? I am struggling with panel lining a video on this with oils and acrylics alike would be awesome (sorry if you have that already). I find using nuln oil and agrax earthshade very dirty as it doesn't flow nicely and it tints every excess over the main surface inmedatially. Any tips on this will be great. Thanks Carlos

Hi Carlos - glad you liked the video! Something like a Van Dyke Brown or Burnt Umber would work - I use A&N oils Check out my videos on Rogal Dorn and my Weathering video, as I show how to mix them up - hope that helps!

No not at all - hence why I did the tutorial this way - I find this is the easiest way to do white but understand that it can be daunting

Unfortunately not - the white scar spray is slightly lighter 🤦🏼‍♂️

I think it is too dark. You could use it and then use the corax white base paint over it maybe, but this would take a long time I think - unless you have an airbrush. I think white scar spray may be the best option 🤔 I am not sure if other manufacturers have anything suitable
