Glad you're finishing on a high note! The Black Templars project was very cool to follow and replicate. I only wish you did even a single vehicle, because I'm not even sure how to approach volume with the airbrush for tanks and somesuch. Still, great work, thanks Henry!

To the knife question. I use the olfa AK-4 for Almost two years now. Still with the First Blade 😅 I Like it a lot. The grip is Nice and the Overall feeling is Good. … and due a Little thing Kind of Bit it will Not role from the table
@simonleach6632Ай бұрын
Ah, the frustration of losing a tool you love, I know it well from work! As for good hobby knives, I have 2 very good ones, the AK interactive one is nice, all metal with a nice knurled grip, not much bigger than a pen, but uses a very different blade shape, short but very strong, and the size/shape of the blade gives you a lot of control. Either that or I also have a chep ish handle I think its a model craft one, quite chunky blue plastic handle but takes swann morton blades, comfortable to hold but very different to the AK one, doesn't like brute force cutting so much, but if you use scribing cuts for the thicker stuff then its absolutely grand and I picked it up cheap because I lost the AK one which I have since found again so I use both usually depending on whichever one I have spare blades for
@ecMonifyАй бұрын
looks incredible! that's virtually the exact same way i paint faces, except i go in with a glaze of Guilliman Flesh in the eyes, mouth, along the hairline, and below the cheeks too. it's an ultra simple and super fast way of getting, in my opinion, amazing-looking faces :D i really dislike when people edge-highlight faces - i think the contrast between very soft skin on the face and sharp edges on the armour is way more appealing and realistic. same with cloth, and yeah your cloth here looks amazing :D

When it comes to a hobby knife I think by far the most important bit is that you are used to it. IMO just like brush control, there is such a thing as knife control and you have to recalibrate when using a new knife. It can feel worse, even though objectively it's fine (or even good).
@lewisconklin7252Ай бұрын
Cool.

Beautiful model! Can you explain the inks that you used for the recesses? It wasn't explained in your other Black Templar videos. Do you just leave it there and let it dry? Or remove excess with Thinner? Do you paint over it with another coat of black? It makes the models look amazing and would love to know for my own black templares.
