You paced this so nicely and did not add a lot of excess “chatter” while working as so many KZbin artists do, which I find so distracting. Your techniques look so doable for beginners. Thank you! I am new to your channel and look forward to viewing all your demonstrations.

Thanks for sharing all your knowledge to us 😁💝 Do you ever use any kind of medium to the paint?
@ArtStudioLife3 ай бұрын
You are so welcome! It is a pleasure for me to get to share knowledge in such a way on youtube. I sometimes use linseed oil if my oil paint is a little stiff. I rarely use turpenoid though - just in the very beginning stage of a painting to lay down the imprimatura and or underpainting sketch.

I love this video…so helpful…from suggesting to reuse canvas to color temp discussion. I do have a question…why use a small brush? I would tend to use a larger brush for quicker coverage on the first layer.
@ArtStudioLife2 жыл бұрын
Very glad that you enjoyed! I used a smaller brush here as I was working in smaller bands of color. A larger brush could have been more helpful at times - but think I did not have one with me at the time! ;)

I can’t catch the name of the white you like to use to reduce pasty color.
@ArtStudioLife2 жыл бұрын
Apologies for the delayed response. The white is called cremnitz white :)
