Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the Horn that was Blowing? Where is the helm and Hauberk, And the bright hair flowing? Where is the hand on the harpstring? And the red fire glowing? Where is the spring and the harvest And the tall corn growing? They have passed like rain on a mountain Like a wind in the meadow; The days have gone down in the west, behind the hills into shadow Who shall gather the smoke of the dead wood burning? Or behold the flowing years of the sea returning The Lement for the Rohirrim I love the paint job on Theoden. I've yet to get my lot of Middle earth minis but I will be getting some once I have finished, building my Warhammer 40k Army.

I would like to share a tip for painting blond hair, try ruck sack brown. I find it works really well, it can be darkened and made lighter with ease.

Excellent work, it removes a lot of the intimidation from painting my own Théoden model. Grey (white) horse color is a lot more varied than that, though.

Christopher Peery Hi Chris, thanks very much! It’s on my to do list, but I’ll warn you it may be a while! Lots on the painting table at the moment!
@CapitanCorner6 жыл бұрын
The skin tone from orcs in general is preety easy. In middleearth are a lot of different orcs with different skin. Just mix it up and it will look fine. If you have still problems. Just use Tallarn Flesh and a shade for normal white skin. Also you can mix tallarn flesh with green or brown do bring some variation in your orc maradeurs. Have fun :)

Brilliant mate, and superbly funny with your punny pun puns. Could I make a suggestion; Every now and then on each step or so maybe show a 'real time' bit of painting, only needs to be maybe 5 - 10 secs. I'm tempted to buy this box. Hey buddy :) Nice video and nice work! Well done! :D I wanted to ask you about the Army Painter colors. Do you have any experience with those? I'm coming back to painting again after 10 years + and this means rebuying all the colors and brushes. I watched some videos about some guys using Army painter and heard they are quite good as well. I also found a nice cheap set of 50 colors for less then 100 euros which is very nice compared to the prices of the GW but before the purchase I would like to hear some feedback. Thanks in advance! Cheers!
@EntmootVideos6 жыл бұрын
AP ello mate, thanks for the nice words! I have tried a few and they’re just as good as GW but honestly I find GW easier cus so many people use them and I read White Dwarf and other guides by GW for painting. Also, you can pick up second hand paints for dirt cheap on EBay cus new starters sell armies and paints when they get bored. Having said that, there are great conversion tables out there which do help compare army painter, Vallejo, and GW. Try searching DakkaDakka paint conversion chart, I use that a lot, but it isn’t up to date with the VERY new GW paints unfortunately! I hope that helps!

Great job painting this, it looks really good I was planning on painting my Theoden armour with something like Warplock bronze or some other kind of more dark grey/blue base rather than brown since it looks more dark blue/grey than brown in the movie and i feel it'd contrast more with the rest of the leather on the miniature How did you decide on brown? do you have a guide which recommends it? Also isn't it going to be a total pain to paint that base with the model on it!
@EntmootVideos6 жыл бұрын
Thanks, much appreciated! Well I've been looking at screen grabs of Theoden in his armour and it definitely looks Brown leather and Gold/Brass to me, but you could always do an alternate colour scheme with blue grey? I wanted it to fit the movie aesthetic :) Haha, yeah it always is, in fact I've just been painting some mounted knights of dol amroth (not for a tutorial) and wish i'd left them off the base first! With this one it wasn't so difficult though. The only reason I usually do this way is because then I can undercoat it all with one spray of black! Thanks for watching and commenting, much appreciated :)
@Notashortmidget3 жыл бұрын
Theoden looks like he has blue armor at helms deep because, idk. But everyone looks blue at helms deep. However, at people or fields his armor looks like brownish because the grass is yellow dead, and tons of sunlight so it reflects as more of how it is supposed to look, brownish

Loving your videos! I'm not entirely sure if anyone has suggested this but could you post in the description (or the start of the video) the list of paints that you use or have text appear on the screen for a brief time of the color. I'd like to follow along as I'm new and I am over here making a list of every paint that you used and having to slow the video to 25% speed to pause in time. You don't have to as I'll undoubtedly keep pausing; as you at the very least display the paints, so it is possible to get the paint names. I also found a paint conversion chart. www.tabletopgamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/m2320032a_Citadel_Conversion_Chart11.jpg
