For all of those that try and don’t succeed don’t give up because having a passion for painting or drawing is more important than natural drawing and painting skills sometimes we are to critical of our own work, I tend to do that myself. Sometimes if I watercolour something and don’t like it I put it away for a long time and when I come across it later I recon it’s not actually that bad, others might have had the same experience, and by just leaving it over night and taking a look at it again in the morning we see it from a different angle, I guess that’s why it’s important to step back and meditate a bit about what we are doing and workout what to do next. Sometimes “ happy accidents” like someone mentioned on one of the comments below is how we find great technics for special effects. I quite like the watercolorist in this video because one thing is knowing how to paint another thing is knowing how to teach others to paint, there is a right balance between the painting process the narration of what’s happening and the music played. Some demonstrations are to noisy and complicated.

Oh my god. You are an inspiration: a goal. I am so happy I finally found someone who doesn't speed his videos and shows exactly which pencils he uses. This is soooo helpful. I can grow as an artist with your help. Thank you soo much man. You deserve way more likes!! You are amazing! Thank you so much. It means a lot💙

You are an artist - not a painter, if that makes any sense. I’ve had instructors who would not take the steps you do to create a tree. Now in my opinion that’s what separates an artist from painter.

Tony Listen here bud, Everyone... Literally everyone... They aren't born talents. All those skills they have... is because of "Inspiration". They are inspired by someone else. Say, those awesome artists.. they aren't born with their art talent. They got inspired and really into art. They practice! "Practice" is a very strong word that everyone can't debate with! You still can't art? You still can't find your talents? Don't worry my dear young man, Everyone felt that before. Change your enviroment, be creative, be yourself. You don't do what others tell you what to do while they didn't even done it before! I want you to find your talent, sweetheart. Can't art? practice. -Josh

I bet the first time you tried to ride a bike, you fell down after 2 secs. But you got back up and tried again right? And eventually mastered bike riding so that you can stay up indefinitely. Art is the same- your first time will suck, but if you practice enough, you'll get better :)

@allanfink5469 жыл бұрын
Well I like the drawing a lot, but the painting seems to be a bit flat - I would have liked to see more variation in value from light to dark, and I would think the varieties of trees would have more variation in color, all things being equal. The artist seems to use their watercolor like oil paint - but, admittedly, a lot of this might be my laptop monitor - maybe it looks better on a better display device.

an artist does what an artist wants, everyone is free to recreate what they think is better, no-one is bound to do the exact same things as he does, if you are a painter and you watch these videos you should get that these are tips he shows and you are free to learn from them or better them based on what you prefer

Do water colors work on all sheets, only work on hand made sheets, I am confused, What paper is used for water colour? I used ivory card drawing sheet, after complete drying first wash when I tried to apply another color layer, both layers intermixed and becoming muddy, is it same with all papers, am I using wrong paper? Are there separate paper for water colors, I don't know English much, help me?

what watercolor paper can you recommend for beginners???
@srfrr8 жыл бұрын
+Clarissa Fray Watercolor paper is very expensive so it isn't matter of just saying, go get this paper and get started... I would get something cheap but sturdy in the beginning. You are going to blow through a lot of paper at first. It should be good enough so that you aren't soaking through but not so good that its 20 dollars a sheet. Good luck!

why we ues blue when we colour it why we dont ues only green! plz answer
@samanthabrooklyn8727 жыл бұрын
I think tht you could use a dark green, but the blue will create more of a contrast and make it seem les flat. The blue being so much darker would create a better contrast than a green I think. I will try with green though, and let you know.:)

This is the way. You have to have a good drawing first, though. And it's kind of hard to match my paints with some of the videos, but I'll give it a whirl.
