I ordered 3 tubes (150ml) of Matisse Titanium white from Jerrys a couple of months ago and they were all bad. I called them, and they resent 3 more tubes. From the same exact batch. So they were also all bad. Finally had to get a refund. I contacted Derivan about them, and they told me the tubes Jerrys sent were supposed to have been on their destroy list so I'm not sure why Jerrys was selling them. I just ordered more paint and have the free white 250ml jar and tubes coming, I really hope they're not also spoiled. I think I'd have to stop buying from Jerrys if I get another bad order. :( Anyway, thanks for this lesson! Love learning about new products. :)

Always fun to learn new ways to create art. I recently purchased absorbant ground after watching Cinnamon do a black & white emotional piece. I have one canvas ready to go, but now I'm curious to see how the paint acts on this surface. (by the way, I too just got a shipment from Jerry's with my 250ml being solid as a chunk of rubber, same exact lot # as yours ) I emailed, so it c will be interesting to see if they respond. you looked great tonight & love your painted t-shirt. ....maybe an idea for a live???? a simple design on a t-shirt. perhaps a Ginger logo with a small bear? just sayin, I'm down. ♡ Ty

I have got a guy here locally who will make me a custom t-shirt from one of my paintings....he is on my "to do "list ... somewhere around # 8,945 LOL but I want them for my next trip so he is moving up to the perhaps the top ten things to get done, and I replaced his spot with "clean the house".

Clean house? In the words of your daughter, cleaning house resorts to injuries, do not, I repeat, do not make the bed. Lol. (I make mine 80% of the time).

Ginger, I loved this lesson. Cinnamon had us try absorbent ground a while ago. You might mention that using this , acrylic paint will not underbind, no matter how much water you use. Again, I absolutely love your tulips. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world.

I let that absorbent ground dry for 24 hrs before I started painting on it. and it still didn't dry completely when I wet it and put the brown tones on . It probably needed 5 more minutes with the hair dryer.

Ok just saying that I read you need to apply several coats waiting 30 minutes between coats and then let it all dry for 24hours!

love your Gingerized tulips :) . I use absorbent ground (Cinnamon uses it and told us about it) it is brilliant when I use inks with my acrylics. I hadn't thought about putting it on with a palette knife and adding texture, I'm going to have to try that next time. Thank you Ginger, another absorbing tutorial :) xxx

Awesome. it feels bit like a fresco because of the texture. Could be very nice with an old style painting too.

Ginger dear. Wow I really enjoyed this painting. The technique of something new is exciting to me. I can't wait to try it. I really need to concentrate on my wave and water that we are working together on. The color of the tulips are so beautiful. I would not have thought of using pink though. Such a learning fun. I may keep in the yellow though. Would that yellow you really like from mateese work also. I know you will say 'well try it'. Ha. 😀😄. Another GINGERISMS '. just love love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ spending time with you. A FLY ON THE WALL FROM VIRGINIA BEACH.

Cad yellow light is not the same as Naples yellow. Naples yellow is almost white and I think would probably have been better than the cad yellow light that I used. The background really has an old fresco look to it and muted colors with this would have been nice too in the flowers. Glad you liked the video last night. See you tonight live. Ginger

I love your tulips - even though I'm not particularly fond of tulips in real life! lol The textured but smooth background was cool! I wondere were I can get a hold of a jar of that stuff here in Norway... Hmmm! I need to do some investigations... Hope you stay clear of thunderstorms and other storms over there! Love and light from sunny Norway
