I really love Monet's paintings. I also love lily ponds and became a big fan of those paintings first. I liked how he would paint the same scene many times at different times of the day, the paintings would evoke a different mood depending on the lighting. Seriously, it didn't matter what he painted, I am a fan. I love this painting. The vibrancy of the colors, you know I like my color (lol).. makes me happy. It's look easy, but I know it'll be challenging for me as a beginner to paint well, but not impossible. Thanks for a really cool painting. .

I love this one so much...I've seen so many of the impressionist painters (Monet, Renoir, Degas, early Matisse, all huge favorites) and the secret of the small, short brushstroke cracked the code for me...I would look at any of the above painters and would think "How did they get that texture?" and now I know.

This is the first I have painted along with any one. I usually watch then try to remember and do the best i can. I always seem to freak out trying to keep up. i decided that it is time to do it. I have been painting for almost two years.. I am not really happy but I don't hate it either. My buildings are all wrong. I could not see your sketch but I am so glad I did it, I love the colors. By the way you make easy to follow as you take your time and that means I can learn to do the same. I plan to put this painting on my facebook page and also share it with my Clive5art family. I hope that is ok. Of course I will give you credit.

He and I are friends but I do not know what his group policy is for that (it may be ok) and its always good to check first :) On the other hand you may post anyones tutorial on my page.

THIS IS THE KIND OF PAINTING...where you can practice using your other hands! For the beginning it doesn't just take your dominate hand. TRY IT. Im left handed but with that and society I've learned to use them both. I paint with both all the time. I of coarse use my left for the fine details or complicated parts, but this is perfect to practice both. Have fun with it. Althea

I watched your video on them but I have to ask, what type of brushes would you recommend I start out with? Michael's has Simply Simmons @ 2.99 ea! I'll want to buy 3-4 for starters. goodness I'm just doing this one and after my yellow layer in the sky I'm having to take a break for the night LOL. dabba dabba dabba dabba... I do have a question though, I may have got a little "dabba" heavy and painted out a bit of my background, is there any way to fix that? and also, for that orangey brown green color in the upper right corner, mines turning to an actual mud and I think it may be the fact that my paints are liquitex basics and my cad orange hue is not near as light as yours.. any alternate mix or am I just doing it wrong? thanks for this one I'm really loving it!

I know you always say we can make our paintings our own with colors. My question is... Will I get a good effect if I make the colors match my house more? The micro mixes are beautiful. Can I stay more on the cool side of the color wheel and not bring in as much of the warm colors? Will it ruin the effect? Thank you Cinnamon and John.

It's a wonderful tutorial. Thank you. But I have a question. You are working from a paper pallette, and I don't see you mist your paints, but I never seem to see your paint skin over. And I know you are in a warm climate. How do you do that?
@TheArtSherpa
