This is spectacular, the thing has a life of its own. I love your style and your approachable explanation of the various techniques - I’d seen the contrasting base airbrushes before but only ever to produce cartoonishly bright coloured gradients, I didn’t realise quite how subtle and versatile it could be.

Thankyou for this video. I have used it for my Leapers and will probably for Lictors and Deathleaper too. I've used a small amount of purple dry brushed on the carapasse, only used burnt red around the mouth and much darker skin colours as I wanted it to be more akin to Aliens (Xenomorph). I also used Bile green as I thought it looked a lot like the acid blood for the holes and gashes.

Yes its just that one primer. I think its the lighting that makes it look grey but it definitely a skin colour

Damn... I painted my first McFarlane genestealer in standard Leviathan colors, but definitely have to redo it and the other two now. I love this look even more so that the lighting looks more dark DARK teal rather than black, and it works so damn well. Leviathan has the generic nid/zerg look, but this just looks fucking unsettlingly scary - when applied to a real world mindset. Funny purple bugs VS perfect lowlight/dark camo bugs.

Are you using some type of enamel remover to wipe off the streak and grime? Or will dipping the q tip in water suffice?

No definitely dont use water! U need mineral spirits or white spirits x

I also saw you use the foam makeup wipers in your norn video, did they also like expand with the thinner for you as well? Mine sort of expanded quite a bit
