Honestly, the fact that you were able to achieve what you did on the Gaunt with a jacked up brush and simple paint scheme is really proving that your style is the definitive way to go and is truly more accessible far less intimidating for new hobbyists than the traditional 'Eavy Metal style due to them likely having brushes in that state due to lack of maintenance and poor brush control.

I love that the palette paper has been adopted by the crew. Maybe it was something the GDC crew was experimenting with separately. I remember seeing it on a BlackChalice contribution, and then it looks like it was adopted by others. Again, maybe that was not the case, but that is what it 'looks like'. If that is the case, I think it speaks volumes to how painters at even the highest levels are willing to learn, experiment, share, and utilize new techniques. Humility in action.

I got the Space Marine board game a while back for the Titus mini, so I had a bunch of extra Tyranids lying around that I wasn't sure what to do with. This is perfect.

I am going to be painting up some Yme-Loc Eldar soon and these techniques seems like they would work really well with the Eldars shape and aesthetics. I am going to finally buy some Villainy Inks so i can try it out. Do you guys have any plans in the future for painting up some grimdark Eldar? I would love to see how you approach it. With those new Warp Spiders coming out it might be a perfect time for it.

Although I don't have goons grime, I only picked up two last time I went element games. Carrion crimson ( seriously this stuff is so amazing ) and Dystopian brown which has been used a lot more than I thought I was going to use it.
