Oh my gosh you’re a dream. Bedecking anything and everything in tutus?? Dream! I have some beautiful ranunculas right now. We got a rare hail this afternoon here in California and I told my husband save my ranunculas!! He ran out to them on the patio and brought them inside before they were crushed. Now you show me rununcularinas what could be better? 😊

This may be my favorite tutorial of all time! I just discovered you last week, and had I not watched your video on drawing people, I would have not thought I could even take a stab at this. But I love your delicate style and clarity of your instruction - and with some practice I think I can do this! I am a lover of the fairies, and these are like the dancing flower fairies! And to make it even more exciting, I just received Jeanne Haines Daniel Smith collection for Christmas. You have opened up a whole new exploration in water color for me! ❤

Hi Terry and welcome!! I’m so happy you enjoyed this tutorial and it sounds like your friend/family member made the perfect decision with the Jean Haines collection because it’s probably one of the best sets out there! Can’t wait to share more tutorials and things to help you along on your art journey 💕

I like how you incorporated colours from one flower in another and in the stems. That is a very useful technique.

Yes! It connects directly to the last video I made about "cross-pollinating" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2PSY2OHl92jprM) . It will definitely add a lot more visual interest if you incorporate it into your process ;)

The idea of using the bronze powder is very interesting. What do you add to it to make it stick to the paper? Is it just water? Gum Arabic, perhaps?
@Pointebrush2 жыл бұрын
So that specific bronze powder can be used with water only which makes it really convenient! I like to combine it with Golden metallic acrylic. I have both products listed in the description ❤️

Do you think this would look good if gouache was used instead of watercolor? I just painted it tonight using my watercolor but I can't help but wonder how it would look using gouache.
@Pointebrush Жыл бұрын
Great question and the answer is.. it depends what you’re going for! Gouache could definitely work and overall the colors will look punchier and bolder and less “airy” than with watercolor. It would be a great experiment to see how the two handle differently so as they say “there’s only one way to find out” 😉
