I have taught some of my students similarly to achieve white. The key is not painting white at all, but something just short of white - grey, off-white, bone, sand, etc. - and save pure white for the most extreme highlights. This lets the entire thing read as white to the eye, while still being dynamic (and less difficult to paint). In reverse, this is how the Contrast Colour - Apothecary White from GW works as well: prime something white, layer this on to "grey" it down, and then build up white highlights.

Es un tema pintar blanco, es difícil que quede un tono relativamente creíble, en mis maquetas de aviones comienzo al revés, primero sombras y luces, luego una capa muy delgada y semitransparente de blanco, también uso harto el marrón cubierta y el ivory para poder darle cuerpo al modelo, pero es gratificante ver los resultados. Como siempre tremendo video Ángel!!!

Fantástico como siempre Ángel, esa tela blanca és una maravilla, me vendrá genial el tutorial. Una vez analizados casi todos tus vídeos, creo que para los que comiencen con el hobbie, estaría muy bien si pudieras hacer un vídeo con una mini relativamente sencilla (un marine de Warhammer 40k), en el que explicaràs el proceso de imprimación negra con gris, alguna explicación o consejo de cómo iluminarla (yo elijo el punto de luz y paso la imprimación gris desde arriba tanto delante como detrás de la figura y al final tomo fotos o las imprimo, para que cuando toque iluminar recuerde bien donde hacerlo) y finalmente dar tu magia en iluminación. Creo que sería un vídeo algo más largo de lo habitual però valdria la pena de verlo. Creo que el gran problema cuando se empieza en el hobbie es dónde iluminar, qué colores son complementarios para sombrear y cuándo hacerlo (a mí me lo enseñaron tras la primera iluminación en tu caso no lo he visto, siempre sueles dejar más oscuras las zonas bajas durante el color base y perfilar más adelante). Muchas gracias cómo siempre y un saludo.

@@AngelGiraldeZsí, lo veo en el vídeo, pero es sobre todo de cara a: ¿qué colores tendré que utilizar durante el proceso? ¿Cuáles eran los de este vídeo para pillar los que me falten? Para antes o después de ver el vídeo. Yo suelo verlos y luego cuando vaya a pintar algo que diga: "como en el vídeo ese de ropas blancas, ¿qué colores necesitaba? ¿Tendré todos o me falta pillar alguno?" Es por comodidad luego ver de un vistazo los colores y referencias de las pinturas XD. Que puede ser en el propio vídeo o en plan lista en la descripción 😬🤞🏻

Thanks for the proposal KXX355! I'll take a look at it! As a quick tip: Some people dip the model into alcohol and let it sit for some hours. Then gently remove the paint from the model with a toothbrush and patience ;)

@@AngelGiraldeZ thanks. There are many kinds of miniature materials. Will alcohol be safe for them? People advise different types of liquids for removing paints, many manufacturers do paint removers. Please help to find the right way among them all ))))

@@kxx355 I think that isopropyl alcohol is safe for them. It removes the paint but leaves the model intact :) Just in case, take a look at the internet to check this
