I like your hands-on way of showing some basics of water colour. Very important to know those tips on colour mixing, use of water quantity, etc. If you skip these, you sometimes think you are getting nowhere : it can be so frustrating. Thank you! You helped a lot! It has given me a fountain of information. I, for one use mostly light background colours to let white flowers pop out, like an icy blue or a very light green, or sometimes even an ochre or dark green. That works as well, but it not always applicable, and it is nice to learn another way, too. Pity I cannot send you a photo to show you what I mean. :)

Maybe it's just me, but I think that the bouquets need a dark background, as in the reference photos, to bring out the 'white' of the white flowers. Which, btw, are beautiful.

Thanks for a great vdo. Could you do one on how to get the piece of arches paper out of its block. i invested in one and I'm having hard time peeling off the black glueish bit from it. Am I doing something wrong?
@EmmaLefebvre5 жыл бұрын
ganokorn moody I actually don’t buy the blocks. They’re more expensive. I’m not really sure how to get it off
@susananthony20844 жыл бұрын
Hi, did you ever figure out how to get the paper off the block without ripping it? Arches seems famous for this problem. If you have a palette knife, carefully split the sheet from the block with a palette knife and go slow until you have most of the paper off the block so you can just tear from there without ripping the paper. Stonehenge paper by Legion is really good but a little on the pricey side, but I think it's worth it if my paper doesn't rip and tear at the edge trying to get it off its block base.
