Thank you so much, I appreciate! Yes, the wings took me many hours to paint especially because it's a big painting (80x100cm). But I think it is totally worth it, as you said it's more realistic then. I love that. I think details are one of the most interesting parts in a painting.

I've watched many times and paused and rewatched since it's sped up but I'm getting it and its definitely helped me I've got almost half done of the right wing but still a ways to go but im so grateful to be unstuck and able to continue working ive been painting a white/grey owl that came to me in a dream and i just want to do it justice and work on my skills even tho im newer to painting, ive been a little frustrated when it comes to realism as it seems no matter how hard i try for realistic i always seem to have a cartoonish look to it and im not sure why 🤣 im hoping with the help of ur wing tutorial that it will help me make it a little more realistic 💜 I've always wished we could add photos to KZbin comments ☺️

Makes it easier to follow.😄 But I'm glad to hear that it worked for you and that you got unstuck. That's so awesome that the white owl appeared in your dream and now you're painting it. You know, this pegasus painting also came to me in my dreams.☺️ Hm, I would like to have a look at it maybe I could give you a hint. Generally, when painting realism it's important to pay attention to details, to the values like light and shadow parts, and not having any harsh borders or lines. Do you have instagram? Wowowow!!! I am painting a Pegasus rear feet on the ground wings in middle of spreading for take off. He’s black, with golden-fire wings. I am studying and sketching birds in flight, for structure, but this is an amazing video for painting technique!!! Thank u so much! Incredible detail and so realistic! I'm working on painting a front view of a dove with wings open. This video is good, great even, your so talented :) I'm mostly worried about the colors I will use, i have acrylic paints, but this painting is for someone else, and will be payed for, so I want this to be my best work. Any suggestions?

@amariart_luver Oh a dove is beautiful! Thank you so much for your words and for being here, I appreciate!🙏🏻 Awesome that you get paid for it!🥳 So is it a white, beige or grey dove? I would make sure to have a unified color composition meaning that the colors fit well together in orther to be harmonious. For example you could start with defining if it should be a cooler or warmer tone, crisp or mudier colors, pastel or vibrant etc. What should the overall ambience of your painting be? Each color evokes different emotions. Then in general the shadow area is cooler so there's more blue. On the other hand the light area is warmer so I would use more yellows, light oranges maybe and whites. Does that help?
