dark colors are harder to achive so use more color, also darker colors are harder to paint evenly throughout the wall, I recommend using spray paint but it's costly

One small suggestion.. instead of scrubber with salt paper ... You can use a machine which is easily available for rent in tools shop. It saves time and effort
