I have such a weird habit of sometimes randomly only having one of my hands painted :p it's usually if I'm trying out a new nail color or I run out of time if I gotta be somewhere :p I'm so impatient I paint my nails constantly and I always seem to screw them up I hate waiting for them to dry!

lol should have used a darker polish! but still a helpful vid nonetheless~ and for people saying it's not good to remove cuticles - that's not entirely true! CUTTING cuticles is terrible and you should never let someone cut them off. using a gel to dissolve the skin is okay and doesn't leave open wounds on your fingertips. ^^

I'm actually using your technique to help curb my nail biting habit :) Another lovely KZbinr suggested painting a few of your nails to mark that they are off limits to bite, that way you can slowly wean yourself off of biting your nails, and honestly... I've never painted my nails before... Wasn't sure how to do it, I'm really not very girly at all ._. I work with a lot of machinery so I never thought about painting nails, haha! Your video did help me manage not to make a total mess of my nails, though I really need more practice. Thank you!

I wanted to like Seche Vite too because they got such rave reviews but it just didn't work for me. So I'm going to give it away to a friend to see if she can use it. what do you do when your nail (such as my thumbnail) is too wide to paint it in 3 strokes, or the brush too tiny (eg. China glaze)? it looks so streaky when you have to go back n forth 4-5 times.
@britbrat06859 жыл бұрын
You can do it you just use more polish then normal start a little bit from your cuticle press the brush down until it's spread out wide and push back to the cuticle not on it then down start this in the middle then you can do the sides.

Castor oil heals brittle nails! Buy 100% pure cold pressed castor oil and apply it to your nails. :)
@eddieisdeadie118 жыл бұрын
Do not use a Hardner it will cause your nails to become hard and they will break easily, use a cuticle oil to make your nails flexible so they bend not break. The oil I use is simply pure by bliss kiss and it is a lifesaver! I never was abled to grow out my nails without them peeling or cracking or breaking. Highly suggest!
@SCSilk6 жыл бұрын
Clare Knight I echo using bliss kiss. It’s amazing. I also: - stopped cutting my nails - it was causing them to crack and I’d end up with much shorter nails than I wanted (although now with the oil, I bet they won’t split) - use a glass file to shorten and shape my nails. - stopped buffing my nails - this would weaken my nails. - stopped soaking my nails in water - keeping them dry plus the addition of water keeps them strong. - keep them polished - the only time I don’t I’m putting oil on continually. - treat my nails like jewels and not tools - I’m more careful about reaching for things. I also really like pure ice, because from my experience with them, they dry pretty fast, and they are very shiny. I have a lot of dead skin to remove so what do I do if I don't have any cuticle remover
@littlecaramel84278 жыл бұрын
what i did when i first removed my cuticles is 1. after a shower the dead skin is soft, so take your nail or a cuticle pusher and push them back all the way up to the eponichium and scrape off the dead white bits. then 2. at this point you'll have longer pieces of cuticle hanging from your nail, use a nail clipper and not a cuticle cutter to cut them (i know ppl say not to cut them but for those who have alot of overgrowth of skin we don't really have a choice, and i find that nail clippers fit the shape of your nail better and are easier to use) and cut them like you would your nails, except you should gently squeeze the clippers and if you feel pain, pull away a bit and try again bc you dont want to cut the live skin/eponichium. and you can always go to a nail salon and see what they can do for you if youre not confident just yet!

But doesn't using acetone nail polish remover ruin your nails?
@heileytai73468 жыл бұрын
+MsCrazyCandy No. It's actually better than using non-acetone polish remover, since it evaporates the nail polish more quickly. If you have to keep rubbing at your nail with the non-acetone remover, it'll just dry it out more since you're struggling so much. Acetone dissolves quickly, so as long as you rehydrate your nails right after, it's fine. I like to apply Vaseline around my nail and cuticle before using acetone, though, since I use 100% pure acetone and it will seriously dry out your skin if you don't use some kind of oil beforehand.
@kirstt3218 жыл бұрын
Actually if you watch one of her most recent videos she talks about how bad it is to use acetone nail polish remover. So don't listen to hiley unless you want your nails to break. It destroys your nails look it up
