Thanks for this video. My PT had given me this exercise and I had done it once with her and had a picture, but when I got home I wasn't sure I remembered exactly how to do it. The picture wasn't enough. This was a big help.

Thanks! A scoliosis coach had recommended it for my daughter, but couldn't remember how to do it.

There are ways to “screw” this exercise up. First, What I found is to grab with the outside hand first to allow a 50-50 grip. Second, feet underneath hips NOT shoulders, which allows core muscles to engage. Absolutely Agree with breath out and navel tucked. Third, every time hand come back to return, retract the shoulder blades from a positive neutral position. And last, it’s a core thing not a chest, soo keep your hands moving in-line with abs and NOT chest height.... but yes keep a lighter weight....

I use this a few times a week. I'd like to think it's contributed to me having less backpain.

do you alternate grip at all..... meaning one set holding left hand then switching to right hand?

How can I do this at home? Will a band work around a pole? suggestions?
@RobTrainSystems9 ай бұрын
Yes I'd use a band - sometimes I'll set it up down load and wrap it around a bed post or something big/heavy that won't move

Do you need to do this on both sides, i.e., turning the body around and doing it on the other side?
