when I went to drivers ed 17 years ago in the classroom they mainly went over only the road rules and all that. and let the a Tualatin driving instructor teach all the actual driving techniques. so all the skills taught to me on how to drive park and so on was taught by the instructor in the driver's ed car. also where I went they had private driving sessions. not group so it was 1 on 1 with the driving instructor.

In the UK, where parking spots are for 40yo minis, a car like the S class wont go straight in without hitting anyone unless the roads like a mile in width. Even if you get it in, you have like 2cm of space to open the door and get out.

Look over your shoulder and aim for the car you are going to park beside. When the car aligned in the middle where you are looking, turn the steering wheel fully. That's it :)

You should always back into a parking spot. It's safer to do since it's more dangerous (because you can't see as well) to go backwards out, than to go backwards in.

Ethan M alt-k they're not hard if you pay attention in class and watch others drive. Most of it is common sense. As for the driving part, just drive like a safe grandma for 5 minutes and you're fine. Driving is easy as long as you don't get nervous. If you get nervous you'll start making mistakes so always "know" that you got it. And don't get over confident and start driving stupid and dangerous. If you really don't got it, get someone else behind the wheel.
