Did mine following your tips went very well thanks ,as you say it is important to remove the rust build up under the sensor mine was like a piece of cast iron pushing the sensor away.

Did OBD scanner specify which sensor was faulty? For some sensors only cleaning is enough, but not front one it seems.
@PiggyPowerАй бұрын
An OBD scanner wont. A dedicated diagnostics, watching live data, definitely. Cleaning might be enough, depends on the actual fault. Can clean a dead sensor all you want, won't fix it.
@dennisoven9259Ай бұрын
@@PiggyPower how did you pinpoint yours or you just replaced all of them for piece of mind. They aint cheap to replace just because.
@PiggyPowerАй бұрын
Replacing all is NOT peace of mind. That's just firing the parts canon! 1) a proper diagnostic machine should tell you which sensor 2) you verify with live data 3) you can use a multimeter to meter out the sensor to finally confirm

You can actually diagnose the faulty sensor with a multimeter. Kinda tricky to hold the tips to the sensor contacts, but once you turn the wheel, you should measure some mV of AC. Have to unplug the sensor first, of course
@Suedenim199910 ай бұрын
Hi, couple of things. The front wheel has a reluctance ring to drive sensor signal but the rear has a magnetic ring. Would suggest spinning wheel and blowing airline through sensor hole to ensure reluctance ring is clear of muck. Also copper grease added to underside of sensor
@PiggyPower10 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment 👍 I'd never add copper grease in there though... The effect dissimilar metals can have (steel/copper) can have bad consequences on sensors and them getting more seized over time than without

As usual, good tutorial :-) I was replacing both of my wishbones yesterday, and it seems like I accidentally damaged one of the sensors. I believe i have pulled too hard, cable, and didn't notice it. I will try multimeter and see what will indicate, unless I will replace both of them :-) Thanks for sharing your videos, always very helpful 😀 Thanks, Adamsky

Hiya mate,love the vids very informative.Using the knowledge i recently successfully replaced my front discs and pads on my 14 plate berlingo ,I have this weekend replaced the back and again all went except about for an abs ring the new instructions suggested needed put on the new rear hub from the old one.They both looked exactly alike so I was unsure what they were talking about.I put it back together and all seems well but does a berlingo have this and should I have changed it over. Thanks for any advice.

I'm honestly not quite sure what you mean, what instructions? Put what on the new hub from the old??
@eugenemccloskey39129 ай бұрын
@@PiggyPower ,thanks for the reply.The van seem to be working fine so thankyou for the helpful videos.The actual job wasn’t as bad as I had imagined it would be.Christ knows what the very badly printed leaflet with the new rear discs was referring to as both looked exactly the same so it may have been compatible with another vehicle that needed this . All the best and again thanks for the content.

@@myggenz1172 is this in the UK? I've never come across one here. Sorry. I expect they say it's a lifetime thing but I'd recommend simply inspecting the box for a drain and fill point and looking online for what oil and potentially filter... then going to Peugeot for the oil/filter kit
