I passed in one month of studying online at home. Committed to daily studying 4-6 hrs per day. Also had 6.5 years of experience doing RMF.

Hey Kimmons, Hopefully you remember me from Offutt. You were one of my biggest inspirations when I first joined. I'm proud to announce that I provisionally passed today; your video was one of the first resources I used when I started thinking about CISSP. Keep up the good work man.

I'm currently unemployed and reading the Sybex book for the Security+. So far I've been able to stick to my 75 pages per day and should be through the book in a week. Going to try the Security+ first and then was thinking about moving on to the CISSP using the same strategy, since at least some of the info will still be fresh in my mind. Has anyone passed the CISSP just with the book and the Sybex practice tests? And if so, what was your score? I the reason I'm reading a book is to get all the information I need in one source. It's annoying if you read the book and still can't pass because the information wasn't covered adequately. Also, if you pass the CISSP how do you put it on your resume? "CISSP Associate"?

Yes you can. Took a 1 on 1 course in india. 15 days intense training on passing the exam. Aced the exam in 4.5 hours.

Yeah…if they “teach the test”. Different than studying the concepts.

How was the endorsement process? I read on the website that you can have a current cert holder endorse you or let ISC endorse you.

Hmmm.....after a few ive totally forgotten about the CISSP, even though security is part of my jobs for years. I should look into doing it since i have the relevant years.

Great video. When did you pass? I am looking at the online learning video you mentioned and it has not been updated with the current CBK.

Within the last year. Yes they haven't been updated with the current material, however I think they are a great starting point.

@@ILikeToHackThings Yes! I've looked into eNDP & eJPT. eNDP peaks my interest. But I'm strongly thinkin about pickin my Cysa+ book back up.

@@williebeaman652 CySA+ was decent, not very much hands on as I would've wanted. But still a decent cert.

Im actually starting to study for the CISSP rn and in starting with a 13 hour course and now along with that book you recommended in this video, i gotta wait a couple weeks before i can get it but my time frame is at least a couple months and at most 3 ive been studying cyber security for over a year and im always thrown back and fourth with what i should do, whether it be college or certifications, but since im poor and cant really afford college lol, ill be going for certs and they are also better anyway since they seem like they test your skills rather than just jamming information into your head like college does.

Questions are nowhere near what you will ever find in the actual ISC2 exams. Boson practice tests are close in format but still not going to replicate exam questions. However, the practice questions in the books should be easy for you so don’t discount the need to know about the subject matter.

You're welcome! Quick questions: How much does this test cost? Do you think this is a more beneficial certification than Security+? #CISSP GiveAway
@ILikeToHackThings3 жыл бұрын
The exam costs around 750USD. The CISSP is designed for people with several years of experience, but you can take it and become an Associate level CISSP. Sec+ and CISSP cover similar topics, however Sec+ is designed for those with 1-2 years experience while the CISSP is designed for those with 3-5+ years. I wouldn't compare them to much to be honest because the targets are different.
