I am in private practice and thriving. I am in my 11th year of practice. My family and I love the UAE. Several questions 1) as a US board certified surgeon do I need to retake exams (written or oral) in the UAE to practice in Dubai? 2) can I start my own practice here once hospital/surgery center privileges have been obtained? 3) what is the average salary as a specialist consultant in solo private practice versus group private practice? Hi. For a Consultant you need to have GMC registration as a specialist for 5 years. However you can work as a specialist after completing 3 years post residency. All the best.

Hello. As diploma is not accepted here, she can do FRCR/ DNB/MD or give the ARDMS exam and work as a sonographer. All the best.
