The revision I have been updated. Here is the book I would use amzn.to/2E0DQ9u. It's the updated version I believe. Be sure to tab your index AND highlight the breaks in alphabet within the index. For example: Highlight 'A' , then 'B'...The reason I suggest this is so that when you're taking your exam and flipping through the book, it's easier to recognize the breaks so you can find what you're looking for faster. The book's index has small print and has only a SMALL GAP to indicate a new section - but almost unnoticeable. I physically wrote the letter of the alphabet in the SMALL GAP and used an orange highlighter to draw a line across the entire page! When you're taking the exam - pressure is high - the last thing you want is one more thing to focus on. I know I cover this in the video but I feel this is a critical step in saving time. You'll be referencing that book often....seconds count! Good luck. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thank you for this outstanding and helpful video. I was wondering I wasn’t able to find that particular “Six Sigma Handbook” anywhere? Do you happen to have an updated link of it possibly? I’m aware of the orange 3rd edition “the certified six sigma black belt handbook”, but not the one you had in your hand during this video. Please help and thank you sincerely sir.

This video is quite old. It may be discontinued. When choosing books, just go with the latest version and you should be good. When in doubt, check out the ASQ website. They usually have the latest version they use for testing or recommend for study prep...I usually get the version from the site and purchase through Amazon because it's cheaper....but check it out for yourself...things may have changed. Hope this helps.🙏

Quick question: What is the edition of Handbook, that you are showing in this video? Secondly, are these tips and tricks still valid for exam in 2024? How many weeks/months good to prepare when you have 5 yrs of experience in Production as a Project Engineer.
@learnkaizen25 күн бұрын
Handbook is outdated…newer versions are available on Amazon. Yes, tips and tricks still relevant in 2024. Can’t answer your last question because it depends on your current level of knowledge regarding the Six Sigma Body of Knowledge, including applied statistics. I would encourage you to download the body of knowledge on the ASQ website. It’s free to download. Then buy the handbook and determine where your weaknesses are, then set a plan to shore up those weaknesses (assuming there are any)…hope this helps! 🙏

@@learnkaizen yes, though I didn't get the exam back to review what I missed. Right after the exam I jotted down questions in there that I wasnt confident in answering. It was mostly MSA, 3 statistics question about the same scenario. Cpm, Cpk, and other capability questions and SPC. I was cruising through 45 questions out of 100 because I understood it fully. But i struggled with the rest.

Hi, I will be taking the class for lean six sigma green and black belt. I was informed how difficult it is to pass the test. I noticed your video is 2yrs old. I was wondering what do you recommend me to do as I am eager to start studying before starting class this upcoming April. Shall I still buy the books you recommended in this video? I also see the links you posted. I notice those books are different. Should I get both the green and black belt hand books?
@learnkaizen3 жыл бұрын
Hi...Generally you would either go for Green Belt or Black belt but not both at the same time....is this a blended offering that takes you through Green and Black Belts? Are you planning to study through ASQ? Tell me more about the class in April and I think I can help direct you a little! Appreciate your support and would ask you consider subscribing (if you haven't).... 😊

Hey chad. I hope you are doing well. I've been catching up with your videos from over a month now. I have 4 years experience as supply control coordinator, and 4 years in warehousing/logistics . Is there any sort of specific areas that I should go for in SSBB? (like: SSBB in warehousing, SSBB in logistics, SSBB in Supply chain and many more ) Secondly, there is ASQ SSBB that you spoke about, and there are certain platforms like six sigma council that offer Black belt that covers white, yellow, green belt in it. What you suggest.? I don't have any issues going with any of them. Plus if I enroll in any of these do I still have to purchase books or they provide enough materials. IF I have to purchase any SSBB books Please suggest .. Please try to answer every question... Thanks Chad.!!
@learnkaizen3 жыл бұрын
Appreciate your support. No...there’s nothing specific. Just SSBB or GB...or even Yellow Belt depending on your experience. I always recommend ASQ because it’s the most recognizable. Plus, the test to earn the ASQ certification is rigorous - forcing you learn the material ( for the most part) - on the job practice is where you’ll really learn what works. If you sign up for ASQ - you will need to purchase books and materials to study...these aren’t supplied by ASQ...you would purchase the materials - study - then arrange a test date at a testing center. Just check out ASQ’s website. I hope this has helped.

Glad this community is growing to the point of supporting one another. I sat for the exam a couple of years ago. I'm thinking of putting together a complete study system with videos, downloads and the exact books you'll need for the exam. A 10 week program for Green Belts, and a 12 week program for the Black Belt Exam. Would anyone be interested in a course like that?
@arooqi6 жыл бұрын
The primer is a fantastic book but thinking about how frequent ASQ updates their handbooks you'll find it "out of date". I took the CSSBB exam twice relying only on the primer and I couldn't pass the exam with 540/550 score each time. I think the handbook is more relevant, detailed and up to date with the exam approach. However, it takes longer time to finish. The good think about the primer is that it's easy to add additional tabs/dividers not like the handbook where you only use the sticker hand-written tabs.
@learnkaizen6 жыл бұрын
arooqi I liked the primer for the questions but I referenced the handbook more during the exam. Thanks for commenting.

Hi Dear, This video of yours certainly is an excellent motivation against those who talk more and give less information. You have explained very nicely that what exactly ASQ is doing in exam and what basically is needed in open book exam. I’m preparing CSSGB and while going through different practice questions I felt that the ASQ actually doesn’t want one to remember everything but the ability to look for the information when required. From your experience can you please tell us approximately how many calculations related questions can come to CSSGB/CSSBB. Thank you

When I took the ASQ SSBB exam - I believe about 10-15% of exam were calculations. The calculations were not as difficult as the calculations I practiced (QCI - books)....I'm going from memory here on the % of questions that had calculations so please don't quote me...Appreciate your support on this channel!

There is no one best for this, there is no governing body or offical accreditation for this any company can train their employess in Six Sigma and most large ones do themselves. Over 2 dozen universites offer this but if you wait till you are working for a company it is better to go through their training and get it from the company you are working for.
