Dr. Bolt, I've somewhat/ mildly followed your journey the past 2..maybe 3 years. You are a GREAT representative of the CRNA Field (which I am not- a CRNA). I suspect we will be working together 1 day regarding policy/ policy change Keep up the good work

I passed my CCRN exam! Honestly, the practice tests were harder than the actual exam. Don’t be like me and get a bunch of resources. Just William review course and Barrons if you have access to one. Focus on cardiovascular, respiratory, and the Synergy model you will pass. Just do some practice test in the Barrons book and you will be good. The first time I sat down and answered 150 was when I took the test.if you need any of this resources mentioned above I will be more than happy to help you on how to get them.

Could you please do a video over how to prepare for crna school interviews and letter of recommendations?
@bella1207ful7 жыл бұрын
Hi Bolt, I am a fan like other commentators, thanks for the videos! I'm currently studying for the GRE. The verbal section is good. 😓 The math section is so. Ugh. It reminds me of middle school and high school and I just know all my math teachers are laughing so hard right now. Watching these vids helps me see there is a light at the end of the math tunnel🙏🏻.
@BoltCRNA7 жыл бұрын
I agree that the math is tedious, you can do it.

I purchased the Pass CCRN question bank and the Laura Gasparis' DVDs, what other study material would you recommend?
@BoltCRNA7 жыл бұрын
Those should be sufficient to pass the test. I've had friends who have done well with Laura Gasparis' DVDs.

I am a soon to be nursing student planning to become a CRNA. Very dedicated and determined but also worried. Is it possible to work as an ICU nurse your first year and have your GRE and CCRN ready for application by the end of that first year? Also wondering if you'd recommend an ADN and work in the ICU while getting my BSN? Ive heard of people going that route but wondering if would speed up the process?
@BoltCRNA7 жыл бұрын
In theory the ADN and transfer to BSN could work but many things can go wrong with that plan. I've got a friend in the CRNA program who I've just got to agree to do a video about how she got into CRNA school so fast. Her route is probably the fastest start to finish I've ever heard of a person starting college and getting into CRNA school. Stay tuned, sounds like the info will help you.

Hi, Bolt CRNA. I am a big fan of your channel :). I have a concern for GRE score. My cum GPA is 3.76 I finally got my GRE score of 304 and a writing score of 3.5. Do I have to retake it? I hate the GRE exam. please give me a piece of your advice, please !!

Thanks for the video, Bolt! How's CRNA school going for? Does CRNA school have the same length as a traditional school program? School from Jan-May and August-December or is shorter? Good luck to you with the rest of your courses and upcoming exams if you have them. Always appreciate these videos
@BoltCRNA7 жыл бұрын
CRNA school is pretty much year round. We got a break for Christmas but otherwise, it's 3 years non-stop.
@ZACHY129927 жыл бұрын
Oh wow, so you even take summer school courses? And it's still 3 years?! Holy moley. Hang in there, man

Thank you so much for your video! I ordered the CCRN book but is that sufficient to pass the CCRN examination if I do the whole book?
@BoltCRNA7 жыл бұрын
There's no guarantee but I would say if you master the content of the book you'll pass the CCRN.

What is the benchmark score in the GRE ..? I'm scoring a 296 on my practice tests I feel that's not good enough 😔
@BoltCRNA7 жыл бұрын
That's a decent score. Usually benchmark is 300. The writing portion is solid at a score of 4.

I plan on attending crna school at USUHS through the air force
@BoltCRNA7 жыл бұрын
I came very close to joining the Airforce after graduation with the HPSP program. The military can be a great option for some people. I have a classmate who is an officer in the military and in CRNA school. Maybe I should interview him for you guys to see his perspective on the military and healthcare.

Hello! During CRNA school do you get any break at all in the summer or is it just the winter? And how long is the breaks?
@BoltCRNA7 жыл бұрын
We get around 10 days for Christmas, a couple days for Thanksgiving, one week for Spring Break, a week break from when our Spring classes end and Summer begins, a week break when our Summer classes end and our Fall classes start. Besides those days I listed you're in school year round for 3 years.

@BoltCRNA7 жыл бұрын
I'll be honest I didn't prepare much for it, I invested much more of my time preparing for my CCRN certification. All the programs I was applying to just wanted benchmark scores so that's what I aimed for. I scored just over 300 with a 4 on the writing portion.
