Can someone please explain why it's considered a fault at 4:39 for her to have not changed to the right lane?? Ok, I know that the left lane is considered a passing lane, but I've seen lots of other successful driving test videos where people stayed in the left lane if that was appropriate. Surely you need to stay in the left lane if that is the lane you need? In this case she was going straight, wasn't she? Or was she planning to change lanes and turn right? Here's the issue: It wouldn't make sense for her to change to the right lane just to have to go back to the left lane a few seconds later!! Please explain! I just watched a video from another highly experienced instructor, and they said to stay in the left lane if you need to be in that lane for what you're doing next. So, I'm really confused as to why she was supposed to be wrong here?

As a g1 driver you always have to stay on the right, so when making a left turn, after your turn you have to signal and speed up to the right lane.

@JoannnTV Great point! As a G1 driver, it's important to stay in the right lane. After making a left turn, you should signal and carefully move into the right lane when it's safe to do so. Keep practicing, and you'll get the hang of it!

it's not a must, but it is a good thing to do. its considered the "safer lane" to many instructors and it will look good on your test.
