I really wish I had any instructor that’s calm like this and understanding too .For colorado where I live the requirements aren't to clear, I took my test at two different places at the first one he said you are only allowed to have 2 traffic violations, I failed because I went over that however on my second test there weren't really any requirements she just failed me, so I took a step further by contacting a private licensed and professional dmv attorney that helped me to write a provisional letter to bypass the test drive and i was given a provisional driver's license which will last for 12 months. I got a license now and it will serve for 1 year then I renew again

Thank you for sharing your experience! It sounds like you went through a lot to get your license, but I’m glad it worked out for you in the end. It’s definitely frustrating when the requirements aren’t clear, and I understand how challenging that can be. Out of curiosity, where exactly did this happen? It’s interesting to hear that you were able to bypass the test drive with a provisional letter. I’d love to learn more about how this process works in your area. Thanks again for your comment!

I don’t understand the road signs well enough. I missed a yield sign, and that cost me the 3rd test. i would definitely switch to a provisional license if i could get that option.

I watched your videos before my test and they taught me really important stuff I wish I was taught earlier, like the reverse parking trick with the knob. At first Aydan (hopefully I'm spelling it right) looked a bit tense but it was surprisingly a smooth ride. He's a pro at switching the turn signals on because I had to double check at times. Good luck to him! Btw Alex, a dash-cam for the front and one pointed at the driver from the passenger's seat would provide a more immersive experience for learners. The movement of the handheld camera makes it a bit disorienting. Great mock test!

What I don’t understand is why is it bad when u don’t check your blind spot in the lane u already in where no one can pass you in and you’re turning?
@Canadiandrivers
@Canadiandrivers 2 ай бұрын
Good question! Even if no one can pass you in your lane, checking your blind spot is still important because pedestrians, cyclists, or motorcyclists could appear unexpectedly. They might be approaching from behind or riding alongside you. By checking your blind spot, you're ensuring it's safe before you make your turn, especially in areas with bike lanes or busy intersections. It’s all about being extra cautious and avoiding surprises!

@EMAvation
@EMAvation 3 ай бұрын
The steering wheel not returning to center is indicative of problems with the steering rack, low power steering fluid, faulty power steering system, or worn tie rods. To fix the problem, you’ll have to identify the root cause and replace the component, but you should start by checking the levels of power steering fluid.

After making a left turn onto a two way street do we need to switch to the right lane right after or only until the examiner says we can?
@Canadiandrivers
@Canadiandrivers 3 ай бұрын
After making a left turn onto a two-way street, you should move to the right lane when it is safe to do so, unless road signs or markings indicate otherwise. You don't need to wait for the examiner to tell you, just make sure to check your mirrors, signal, and do a shoulder check before changing lanes.

You are allowed to glance at the reverse camera, but you shouldn't rely on it completely. It's important to mainly look through the back window and use your mirrors to stay aware of your surroundings. The camera is just an aid, but the focus should be on driving safely and checking all angles.

its good to shoulder check while car is moving? or much better when its full stop?
@Canadiandrivers
@Canadiandrivers 2 ай бұрын
Great question! You should shoulder check before you start moving (e.g., before changing lanes or turning) and while the car is in motion, especially when merging or switching lanes. It’s also good to check your blind spot at a full stop when preparing for a turn, but don’t forget to do it again just before you go. This helps ensure there are no last-second surprises.

This kid is a narcissist, id like to point out that everyone loves to say it AFTER something bad happens But rarely does anyone make a comment about it prior to any issue Narcissism, Sociopathy and other personality traits are EXTREMELY common in humanity It's rare for a narcissist to actually do something self destructive, but the few who do tend to paint a negative cognitive bias towards those with the same mental condition... The kid is doing nothing wrong, that doesn't mean he isnt a narcissist, or that's inaccurate, i mean HAS narcissistic personality disorder aka NPD, and like i said, as long as he manages it healthy, nothing wrong with it

Using a back up camera in ca is a automatic fail maybe not an automatic fail but it’s not allowed also after every left turn he a would move into the right line but was never told to he did it twice
@Canadiandrivers
@Canadiandrivers Ай бұрын
You’re absolutely right-rearview cameras should only be used for glancing and not relied on entirely. In Ontario , using a backup camera isn’t an automatic fail, but depending on the examiner, over-reliance on it can result in points being deducted. As for moving into the right lane after a left turn, it’s generally good practice unless road signs or traffic indicate otherwise, but it’s something I’ll make sure to address more clearly in the future. Thank you for the feedback!

Also didn’t let the pedestrian cross all the way before turning you have to let them cross the whole way before entering a crosswalk at least in California you do
@Canadiandrivers
@Canadiandrivers Ай бұрын
"It depends on where the pedestrian is located. If they’re already in your path or the crosswalk you’re about to enter, you must yield to them. As for letting them cross all the way, it varies by location. For example, in California, you’re required to let them cross the entire crosswalk before proceeding. In Ontario it’s different.Always check and follow your local traffic laws to ensure safety

do you need to shoulder look when turning left/right? I thought you only needed to shoulder look when changing lanes.
@Canadiandrivers
@Canadiandrivers 6 ай бұрын
Yes, you do need to shoulder check when turning left or right. Shoulder checking helps ensure there are no vehicles, cyclists, or pedestrians in your blind spot, which is crucial for safe turning. It's not only for lane changes but also for any situation where you need to check for potential hazards in areas not covered by your mirrors.

1:14 moving his head as looking left and right ?? Because when u told him to go right at the stop why he turn his head right when he wasn’t even at the stop sign yet ?
@Canadiandrivers
@Canadiandrivers Ай бұрын
Great question! Moving your head to look left and right before reaching the stop sign is part of scanning the intersection early. It helps you gather information about potential hazards before you stop. Once you get to the stop line, you’ll scan again to make sure it’s safe before proceeding. This habit shows good situational awareness during the test!

( Question) If the speed limits 40 And i'm am going 35 or 38 That should be okay right? Sometimes, I can maintain a perfectly exactly 40, depending on the road. I should be good on the test, right?
@Canadiandrivers
@Canadiandrivers 6 ай бұрын
Yes, driving slightly below the speed limit (35 or 38 in a 40 zone) is generally acceptable and safer than exceeding the limit. Consistency and safe driving are key. If you can maintain the speed limit when conditions allow, that’s great, but being slightly below is usually fine for your test. Good luck!

Hi usually it’s 10% for example if you driving on the speed limit 50km you can drive close to 45 km or above max 55 you will be not penalized but it’s better to keep as close as possible to speed limit Good luck

Thank you! Also do you have any tips or tricks for keeping your car centred in your lane? I’m having a bit of difficulty
@Canadiandrivers
@Canadiandrivers 6 ай бұрын
@AmandaBabs You're welcome! Here are some tips to help you keep your car centered in your lane: Stay Relaxed: Keep your hands relaxed on the steering wheel. Tension can lead to overcorrection. Use Reference Points: Pay attention to the left lane line. This can help you gauge your position and keep the car centered. Look Ahead: Focus on the center of your lane far ahead rather than directly in front of your car. Smooth Adjustments: Make small, smooth steering adjustments rather than sudden or large ones. Proper Positioning: Ensure your seating position is comfortable and your mirrors are adjusted properly for better visibility. With practice, maintaining your lane position will become more intuitive. Thanks for your comment!
