Or you can put them on the same midi channel and they will play the same notes with no patch cables.

I have some more ideas for this setup. I am certainly interested in a full paraphonic patch, but for that i would need 2 additional CV channels, i think.. can't wait to move into a modular rack. :)

I can't get the idea of four of these out of my head.

Great informative video, but now I need another neutron...and so it begins😊

I have a question that might seem dumb, the neutron is mount in a eurorack Im using the Behringer CMA1 for CV/gate, the CV is plugged to VCA CV input and the gate is plugged to OSC 1+2 input. The pitch changes but the it note plays continuously as soon as i stop playing ? Why is the gate not controlling the note duration like my other modules ? If plug the output OSC 1+2 to the mixer i get a continuous tone, its like the envelope is being bypassed ?

You know that you can actually link them internally without any wires and then u'll be able to play actual chords on the keyboard! =) Check out the Manual again. :)

Yes, but this was the "modular version" when you can't daisy chain midi and also not to play chords specifically. The main idea was to share/forward the envelope settings of one unit to the other so you don't have to mirror the sound settings on each unit. Basically making it a 4-osc synth with 1 env. Polyphony wasn't the goal.

Thanx for sharing, it was a great help patching my evil twins ;-)

Hi! Thanks for the video! Is the tuning stability an issue with this setup?

I just thought about buying a second Neutron perhaps selling the Crave but in next time there‘ll come the Behringer 2600.... i need more room 😬😁

does this really add polyphony? would be amazing!

great video.... cool idea... it's possible to make the same with a Model D? many thx
@cellrok5 жыл бұрын
Not really. It's missing some patch points for that. But you can use Polychain via MIDI and distribute filter cutoff using cables so one would be the "master" controlling the others. There are some videos on YT about Model D stacking. Search for "Behringer Model D Poly Chain". Video by Tim Shoebridge is pretty comprehensive. Also artoftravelogue talks a bit about tuning issues between units.

cellrok by the way, I meant to chain a Neutron and a Model D. not 2 Model D together. I have only one Neutron and one Model D at home

No no I won’t buy another neuron...... buys another neutron..... it was either more $$$ modular gear of 84hp or spend $300 to fill it up. Done.
@cellrok6 жыл бұрын
Hehe. Yes, the value is insane. I am currently planning a 84hp as a companion for my semi-modulars, so i am looking for effects, modulators, sequencers or another VCO to just "enhance" the Neutron voice rather than building a standalone modular system. I will definitely jump on the Behringer Pro-1 when it comes out too. They've added a lot of patch points in the final design too.
