This was such a great video. Finally a youtuber that is self efficient, and realizes that not everyone has the financial support from parents/family.

Disclaimer about RA job: Definitely don't look into it if you're just looking to pay for housing because you will regret it because the RA job is a lot of work but rewarding if you enjoy what you're doing like I do :)

Did you go on scholarship websites or apply to scholarships through your school? And about private schools, they're better for lower income students. Especially schools that meet 100% of needed aid. I think I'm going to finally start apply to scholarships
@fraisemarie19617 жыл бұрын
Jessica Murphy I stumbled across a scholarship scrolling through KZbin videos as well which may be easier to get. Search The Official Headstrong and check out what they're offering too!
@troybody66626 жыл бұрын
@@fraisemarie1961 I went to the site, but it said that there is no content. So, I subscribed. I flipped to the last column, "about" and it said that "it will donate a $1,000 scholarship and entrepreneur award to people everywhere who need a little help out in the world!" How do I sign up?

Texas Universities: Application and Scholarships | $1000 scholarship enables in-state tuition? Watch this video on You Tube. Also read my comment to Fraise Marie. I mistakenly linked it to her name.

I'm currently living in Bulgaria and the cost of attendance for the first year is really tough to manage. My parents' yearly income isn't enough and I'm afraid of actually failing to accumulate enough to afford it. I want to study business and management, are there any available scholarships or financial aid for out-of-state undergraduates? Anyways great video, I really enjoy the content you make and I would be glad if you could give me any tips and stuff, or any feedback at all. Thank you!
@AmandaMagana8 жыл бұрын
I'm sure there is although I'm not too familiar with out to find scholarships for out of state :( maybe try googling it for the state you're interested in going to! Wish I could help more! Have you talked to your counselor at school about it?
@georgievg8 жыл бұрын
Amanda Magana I don't know if you mean the UCLA counselor or at my school, bc unfortunately there isn't one in my school. But I'm really glad you responded and you care for your viewers. Have a good one!

Garbageorge look the The Official Headstrong on KZbin. It's their first scholarship that they're offering and since a bunch of people don't know about it yet the odds are definitely in your favor if you apply. It could really help!

Any tips for international students applying soon ??
@troybody66626 жыл бұрын
I over heard church members talking about accepting students from Asia to there homes. They were very happy with their international students. Call pastors in the California Los Angelos area. Also call UCLA to see what they know. There is a great article by U.S. News & World Report by Farrel Powel, 4/4/18 on how to get in state tuition for out of state students.

I want to go out to college, get a dorm. But my family doesnt want me. South East Asian here. Freshmen in High School. They didnt let my sister go to med school because they didnt want her to do dorm. How in the world can i succeed if they dont let me go? How? HOW? Why should i suffer everyday, waiting for the metro or cab, why do this and waste priceless time? Its unnecessary? Why? If you can help, please do so. Im 14 and want to succeed, and one of the steps is to do new things. I HAVE THE POTENTIAL, i aint no weeb at the school thats not trying to do good. 99.2 average, saluratorian in middle school, in New York. Im trying. I want to expand. But thats hard when youre restricted by the people you love. Your family, who thinks you cant deal with the responsibility of going away, who thinks that youll somehow end up dead. HOW? People think you can learn once u get a job, once you finish college near home. But you dont know if thats possible.
@ikjotbhangu29885 жыл бұрын
you can try and convince them or just go if you get scholarships and a job. try getting a job soon so you can start saving up to pay for it yourself just in case. eventually they would have to deal with it.
@rifraf61355 жыл бұрын
@@ikjotbhangu2988 okay, so your suggestion is if theyre not convinced, i should just try and get as many scholarships and funds, and possibly a part time job, so they wont have to worry about the money part? That seems good. But the thing is theyre gonna be really angry at me and think that i dont care about them. They think im going to leave them forever.

Hi Amanda - great video. Can you list the HS scholarships you applied for and which ones you received. I'm not sure all counselors here are really good about knowing all the things that are out there so if you could list the ones you applied for that gives a good place to start. Thanks very much.
