We were in $97,000 worth of debt... $87,000 in school loans (to be a preacher and a social worker 🤦🏻♀️) and $10,000 on a van. We have worked hard for over 4 years and now only owe $3,900. I can’t wait to be debt free!!!!!

Our last stretch had some steps back with auto repairs but keep going no matter what. It will feel so good to have some more for emergencies the month after your done 😁

I found Mike's statement about how you wouldn't go into a store and intentionally pay more but that's what we do when we use a credit card, simple but transforming. I don't think people really think about it like that but should.

I have about $30,000 in consumer debt. No home (renter)... No car loan... All just 100% bad decision spending on credit cards with nothing to show for it. 😲 I started my debt pay off journal late last year. Making baby steps. Thank you for this video series! I need all the help and encouragement I can get.

We owe nothing. Our house was paid off 22 years in June. We are in our mid 50s. My husband simply couldn’t handle having debt hang over him. Once he bought a car with zero interest and no fees and it still caused him anxiety till it was paid off. Next car he paid cash.

We are debt free! We do use a credit card for all of our bills because the company gives us rewards. The credit card is paid in full every month and we redeem our rewards for gift cards to use at Christmas.

We paid off the house in December 2010. We pay for cars with cash. Our house fits our needs, and is not large. We don’t have fancy cars. We learned a long time ago that she conspicuous spenders are often not rich.

We are 158,000 in debt. We have a long way to go. We are working on selling the house we are in so we can move to a house that is paid for. We will pay off our credit cards and personal loan with the money from selling the house. Maybe even pay off our truck if there's enough left over? Then we will just have utilities, food, and insurances. What a glorious day that will be. 😊 Thanks for making this series and I'm putting my info out there so I can be accountable. Bless you guys. ♥️

In June I started out with 227k of debt. Including mortgage, heloc, auto loan, debt consolidation loan, credit cards, and undergrad and masters loans. I've been in the sell everything that isn't nailed down mode and working a part time job plus instacart, in addition to my full time job and my own business. I will have credit paid off in 2021, and totally debt free no later than fall 2023. Having a plan and your WHY is so so soooooo necessary- and you can do it!!

On the advice of my boss I paid off of our debt last year. He's a wealthy man and he didn't get that way by being stupid so I listened. And then I took the monthly payments I had been making and putting it in savings. Our savings is growing and we are debt free except for monthly expenses like utilities and food. It's a good feeling.

We owe 26,500 currently with credit cards, loans, and car note. And there are past medical and family debts of 8700 and 3400.... about 38,600 total. Thankfully, we own our house. We originally got a 15 year mortgage so we wouldn't have to pay so long. And all this, since filing bankruptcy 20 years ago... we are determined to get free from this debt that has held us captive our whole married lives. (30 years in July:) Thanks for these videos, much appreciated!

The only debt I have is my mortgage and I’m slowly working on paying that off early while, as a 50 year old divorced woman, still saving for retirement some day. I currently work 2 jobs, one full time & one part time. I try to live off my full time income and save the part time income. I have 6 months worth of expenses saved and would like to now look into investing some money. I wish I had started this when I was younger but we live and learn.

We’re chipping away at debts we have the house payment and a student loan. We have credit cards but since paying them off in June I’ve only used one, once and paid it right after. It stresses me out to owe things to people. We’ve paid off four credit cards, 3 cars, one rv, one large student loan and one small student loan. It’s almost like a high every time we pay something off. So far $168,000 paid off, we cash flowed two people being out of work for two months during covid shut downs and four months of one of us not working. Now I’m back to shoving as much as I can onto my $46,000 student loan and then there’s the house that 400,000. We have an 8 year plan that might fluctuate up or down depending on life.

So many people get comfortable with debt that they don't even think about it being a problem. I have heard people say that they will always have a car payment. It's just a part of their existence. They don't even pay the car off before they trade it in for a new car. Speaking of voluntarily paying more, the biggest example of that to me is paying PMI on a mortgage because the down payment is less than 20%. I have a friend who has bought 5 houses over the years and has always had to pay extra for PMI. They said it's just part of the mortgage and they don't even worry about it. That's just insanity to me!
