Very good tutorial. Android veteran here who finally gave in to the pressure. I paid $60 bucks for my iPhone 7. Bought it from a trusted friend who barely used it. Super chuffed it still looks new. Looks like the forbidden 🍏 has had it's effect I've already begun transferring nearly all my data from Android to Apple. Still keeping my Android for backup.

I’ve never seen this happen at cash registers and self checkout terminals, and I’ve been using Apple Pay since 2014, so this weird occurrence has more to do with the vending machine then Apple Pay itself.

Not likely. Vending machines like that and at my work have a max pay limit to before you'd have to swipe your card/apply pay again. So say that vending machine sells water: $1 a pop. I slide my card and it says like the video: $6. That means I can buy up to 6 waters. If I buy 5 waters I'd have to hit cancel or let the timer run out before it ends the transaction. After buying 6 waters it will automatically end the transaction instead of me having to hit cancel. If I wanted to buy 7+ waters I'd get the 6, the machine ends the order, I swipe my card again to buy the 7th. Its a nice safety feature if say you are in a hurry and buy a water and run but forget to hit cancel. Then someone quickly comes up and spends more of your money. They can only buy 5 more before it automatically ends the transaction instead of them buying out the whole vending machine.

Correct! I use machines that use all sorts of scanning technology, including NFC. I have to make sure that when texting, I have to keep the phone away from the machines. Otherwise, the wallet opens automatically.

He suggested we get drinks, and I paid with cash, and at the same time he ordered the drinks with Apple Pay. Thanks yes I went to 6 flags in June 2021 with my Ex and I didn’t k ow they didn’t take cash🤦🏽‍♀️ but thank god I had a cash from my dude and went to the atm to add cash to a 6flags debit card. No. The transaction behaves in the same manner as you would with swiping a debit or credit card. If it’s a self checkout terminal you’d walk up to the register, scan the item, hit “done” or “pay” on the register screen, choose the method of payment in this example would be a credit or debit card, it then prompts you to follow the prompts on the payment terminal which would be to tap swipe or insert, then you use Apple Pay, (if it’s a debit card it may prompt you to enter your PIN), then the transaction is done and receipt is printed, and you’re done and the register resets for the next customer.
