So glad I watched this, I thought it was my slave cylinders, clutch etc and my shop told me a new clutch but I just knew it wasn’t because it still engaged properly and never slipped. Now I don’t have to slam my clutch pedal to the floor just to hopefully get it in gear. Thank you for this video 💯

A regular 12 wrench seems to fit in the Si, but there's no way to get it in there on the 9th gen 1.8 Sport, might have to cut the wrench in half to actually do the job. You're spinning the cylinder rod without removing the bit that holds it attached to the pedal, right?

Good info, does this fix the clunk noise when releasing the clutch pedal? Euro 9th gen, sure technical platform is the same. Motor mounts are OK.
@559powerscape
@559powerscape Жыл бұрын
This helps with 2nd 3rd ger grinds and pop outs......I think what ur talking a about is when releasing the pedal it creaks right?....I've Sprayed wd40 on the cmc rod, press in the pedal spray it again , spray the clutch bracket and theirs a spring on it too...put a rag under the pedal to catch all the excessive wd40.....press in the clutch by hand back and forth and spray the rod again... This has helped with the creaks... and when it comes back repeat.

So turning the rod clockwise towards the gas pedal will make the bite point higher?
@559powerscape
@559powerscape 6 ай бұрын
No thats making the rod shorter the longer it is the higher it is....the shorter it is, the shorter the grab is

So clockwise right will make the rod go up or down?
@559powerscape
@559powerscape 2 жыл бұрын
Clockwise will make the rod go down into the CMC, counter clockwise we'll make it go up towards the clutch pedal. Making it go towards the clutch "longer" pushes more on the clutch to Disengage the flywheel...the less the less it disengages the flywheel.... You want to have the engagement point at least 2" when you come off the ground

Thanks so much for the video !!! I just did this yesterday ! It was hot as fuck and now my back hurts 😂 however…. I didnt touch the 17mm nut or the clutch switch …. I only loosened the 12mm nut and adjusted the little rod for the clutch travel …. 100% solved my problem….. Do you think this is done on purpose from factory as programmed obsolescence ??? Because a lot of 8th and 9th gens have this problem of hard shifting or grinding and everybody always says its the clutch thats fried ?????

It can possibly help, how far is you're clutch engagement? Is it as soon as you lift? Or does it grab up higher? It should grab about 1-2 inches after you lift so it can fully disengage the clutch

Dude, there is NO WAY that this will fix the issue of not going into gear! After searching all the forums, and contacting pro shops, only to be told that the clutch is out, even though there has never been an instance of slippage from it....... I'm attempting this now. Have you replaced slave cylinder? Had mine not shift at all like found or even put it in gear period without slamming it into the gear. Fixed with a stagers slave Cylinder. This adjustment will fix where the clutch hits on the petal not fix if it’ll change entire gears
